So sad to hear of Joe's passing. He never received the credit he deserved. He was truly country...not like the wanna be "country artists" out there now who are more pop than country. RIP Joe.

Man this was the soundtrack of 1993 for me . Was 21 years old and hitting the honkytonks. Beautiful dance halls where the floor was packed every Fri and Saturday nights. Line dancing. 2 stepping. Some great memories.

I like old school country best, but I do like the chorus to Chris Young's "Raised on Country": "I was raised on Merle, raised on Willie, got my honky tonk attitude from Joe Diffie...Daddy did too, it's family tradition, when someone turns it up, you can't help but listen." My feelings exactly.😁

Songs like this need to make a comeback. P. S. This was also one of Joe diffie's first forays into the country line dance craze that ran wild in the nineties. He proved that Billy Ray Cyrus wasn't the only one that had the capability of filling the floor. Too bad we lost Joe this year. I hope he took his "Honky Tonk Attitude" with him to the hereafter.
