"So Help Me Girl" obviously would have hit #1 on the chart week of April 15, 1995 on the old Billboard top 100 National sample playlist chart. Reba McEntire's "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" blocked this song at #2 on Billboard on 4-15-1995, which would have hit #1 the following week on the old Billboard country single chart method. Joe Diffie was one of the greatest country music singers of all time. What a voice he had! RIP Joe.

My mamaw used to listen to Joe Diffie, used to say she would talk to him through the radio. When she got older, she had a little bit of dementia. But she was the sweetest. She passed 9-28-2017. This song came out when i was a teen and I liked it then. Now that I am 38 it has more meaning than it did back then. I was in a marriage for 15 years for all the wrong reasons.
