The late and legendary Joe Diffie reached #2 on the Billboard country singles chart with this classic on 4-15-1995 and #1 on Radio & Records country singles chart on 3-31-1995. "So Help Me Girl" obviously would have hit #1 on the chart week of April 15, 1995 on the old Billboard top 100 National sample playlist chart. Reba McEntire's "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" blocked this song at #2 on Billboard on 4-15-1995, which would have hit #1 the following week on the old Billboard country single chart method. Joe Diffie was one of the greatest country music singers of all time. What a voice he had! RIP Joe.
