What's your point? It's dependent on Green to "get better." The league is expecting to nip this in the bud when it comes to his behavior, which is why they didn't put a number on the suspension. If Green gets better within 5 games of being out, he will be expected to never do this sort of thing again. If he does, he'll be out of the league. There is no other punishment you can hand out beyond "indefinite." I believe this is Green's final opportunity to right himself.

Joe Dumars and Andre should have recluse themselves from this process because they are bias for Draymond. Draymond had showed no remorse for hurting multiple people. His history of thug-like behavior is immense. He doesn't square- up on people..he sneaks in from behind and choke, hits when the players were in no position to defend themselves, kick peoples' ball for no apparent reason, sucker punched his teammate, insulted Kevin Durant, his teammate, on a nationally televised game. Then lie and say during the press conference "I am not really intending to hurt him." Draymond is a thug and a coward. The NBA and the GSW enables him.

Dumars, Kerr, and others talk about getting professional counselling… just today in Yahoo Sports Dumars said “I think there’s also an obligation to help these young guys get better in maturing and how to deal with things.” he mentioned a lot about players history to make decisions for suspension… and when you look back at Rasheed Wallace comment about Draymond when he was young, where he got a lot of time with Detroit pistons… so, what I'm saying is, it all adds up to what he is now… and players do need professional counselling… not only NBA players because young kids do imitate idols… if you're at the Detroit pistons locker room at a young age… you look up to them, and when the BAD BOYS do something terrible to a player… it sticks! It's bigger than basketball or any professional sport… they look mature, but they're not! Players should think about their responsibility to society, kids, and fans that help contribute positively to the betterment of an individual growing up… just my thought as a parent who loves NBA…

I mean rehabilitation is what prevents Draymond from doing it again. You can't suspend the guy and not make it mandatory that he gets help because then the suspension is useless. We don't know what Draymond would do during his suspension, he probably wouldn't work on whatever is causing him to be so aggressive. At least getting him help ensures there's an effort to not only punish him but to bring him back as a better version of himself so it doesn't happen again.

The Bad Boys (1987-91): This team DID NOT end anyone's season or career due to injury; they didn't just go around hitting people upside the head and getting their key players kicked out of games continually -- you don't win that way at all....Those guys on the Pistons kept it on the court vs. the opponent and one thing nobody talks about concerning those Pistons' teams: THEY COULD TAKE IT! ...Meaning they didn't complain if you hit them, they'd just get up and knock down the foul shots and keep playing....They would manipulate the opponent, refs, game, score, and the entire situation towards their benefit. The Pistons had the same exact rules as everyone else; the Pistons DID NOT have special rules that allowed them to GET AWAY with anything....So when you look at Joe Dumars, he has a sportsmanship award named after him; Isiah Thomas was the President of the Player's Association; Chuck Daly represented the U.S. coaching the Olympic Team; Rick Mahorn was the first coach to win a title with 'The Big 3'; Bill Laimbeer has won multiple titles as WNBA coach; Pistons GM, Jack McCloskey was on the Olympic Team selection committee; the Pistons have always been a patriotic team and a team that has represented the NBA and its players well throughout.

Not sure if this is important, but it's curious to note that the last 3 players that Draymond hurt are all from Europe. The league's current position is to not be punitive, but perhaps Dray's 'victims' would like to see some sort of punishment, even just to make them feel that the league also looks after them, since they are also NBA players. Listening to Joe, it seems like they feel more sympathy towards Dray over Nurkic and the others. If this happened in a bar, Dray could've been arrested for assault of something. Would be interesting to see how the league would react if: 1. Dray punched Tyrese Halliburton, and 2. someone like James Johnson retaliates. *Was thinking about this whole idea of Dray being the "enforcer" of the GSW. It somehow feels performative at this point, like he's coming to terms with his basketball mortality and suddenly has this urge to prove that he's still valuable as a tough guy, even if he can truly impact winning even just with his intelligent play. I can't help seeing all this in the same light as when aging rockstars still try to live up to their hard-partying reputation, even if they're already with kids, living in the big house, etc., ending up being destructive not just towards themselves, but with all around them (family, bandmates) as well.
