Steve Kerr deserves a lot more blame than any player or executive. How many times have we heard him dodge questions about Draymond or defend Draymond when he was clearly wrong. He should be ashamed for letting it get this far. He’s a huge reason why it’s gotten to this point

Steve Kerr is "SCARED" of Draymond Green and will not confront him. He may talk tough about him in private, but when Draymond Green is throwing a "fit" in the locker room after a game or at half time, it is Steve Kerr's responsibility to deal with that and put a muzzle on him if necessary. And he HAS NOT done it!!!

sorry but he's not an HC coach who's there to babysit and be a father figure. these players are professionals with multi million dollar contracts and it's their responsibility to behave at work. plus you have the GM and ownership to set the threshold at their franchise and deal with misconducts etc... you can't excuse Steph either. he should understand that his window is closing soon as he's 35 and should not put up with this kind of crap.

They keep framing it as, “he needs help”, so that people can feel sorry for him, but it’s hard to sympathize with someone who’s a repeat offender and shows no remorse for their actions. If losing millions of dollars wasn’t enough to make him stop nothing was going to. He earned that indefinite suspension, he really should’ve got a set amount of games built into that to keep him from coming back too soon.

The punch on Poole in the 2022 off season after they won their championship is what started all this. It wasn't just Poole though, they had a few other younger guys whom they quietly traded off, i honestly think Draymond probably played a role in that too, all told he's very difficult to put up with in the locker room. Even Kerr mentioned it a couple of times. Ultimately i feel that the catalyst was the Poole punch, it lead to a spiralling. Couple the fact that Klay is now way psst his best, the dynasty has ended.
@Sbock86
@Sbock86 5 ай бұрын
There were quite a few incidents before the Poole punch. I think his form and the team's form has been the catalyst. He always has been a thug, he's just more exasperated now so it's coming out more frequently.
@rezarfar
@rezarfar 5 ай бұрын
@@Sbock86 I personally think that after he punched Poole, he probably lost a lot of respect in the dressing room, especially with the younger guys, Draymond fancied himself a locker room voice, someone who could be a leader in the back, i think he lost that leadership position after the Poole punch. All his antics before punching Poole were on the court, KD being the most notable issue. But after he punched Poole, i think the players stopped respecting him, not Curry or Klay, but the rest probably did. How can you look up to someone who resorts to violence and laying hands on a kid over 10 years younger than him. In a professional environment at work. After the Poole punch, man gets suspended 4 times too, the most of any player in such a short period of time. It's all very telling. *I think him losing his position in the franchise he's given his life too has made him spiral out of control.*

Draymond has always been “let loose” by GSW as an edge to their play. The problem is that now that he’s getting older it’s becoming mentally harder for him to stay on the same skill level as player while at the same time controlling his demons on the border line where he is used to operate. These two mental jobs come under pressure when you get older. Your mental stretch become more rigid. So he has to reinvent himself a bit. Which off course gives the feeling of loss, which for a high caliber player like him is like saying goodbye to a part of his identity.

He’s not done. He will probably have to do it 1 or 2 more times to be seriously done. They need to do a full rebuild anyway around Curry. Kerr should be fired and they can bring in someone to develop the young guys, trade Klay and Wiggins and move Looney to the bench.
@spongeaang98
@spongeaang98 5 ай бұрын
Curry is 35, bro. There's no building around him anymore. They shipped off their future to DC after Draymond socked him in the mouth and they gave up on Wiseman completely. While Poole was inconsistent, he could've grown with the proper coaching. The Warriors dynasty is done and it's hard to say if they're ever going to rebuild successfully. They gave up trying to develop any of their new talent thinking Steph, Klay, and Dray were never going to decline. It's going to be pretty bleak from here.
@OSUCarol
@OSUCarol 5 ай бұрын
They had some nice prospects, but they haven't actually developed any of them since Steph and Klay. The "two-timeline" experiment failed because Kerr kept this aging core in while stunting guys like Moody, Kuminga, and Wiseman. So they keep extending aging and declining players to near-max deals, and they've fumbled practically everything with the Draymond situation. They should have moved on from him after KD walked, but certainly should have suspended him after he punched Poole; maaaaybe things would be different if they suspended him from ring night last year. They had a dynasty, and now they're flirting with a complete collapse. Best case scenario with Green is that he comes back and gives them ~5 ppg with declining defense on his extension, and that he's simply a bad contract rather than an outright distraction. Dude has arguably lost them as many rings as he's won with them.

Dray kicked Steven Adams in the nuts and didn't even look back at him for even a second. If a guy accidentally kicked another male in the nuts you'd expect that he'd be aware of it immediately and show some concern cause he didn't mean it and knows how painful that is. That just proved to me that he did it deliberately. The chest stomp was also clearly deliberate. He swung fully around before his hand caught Nurkic, not while he was turning which shows intent.

Why is no one talking about how the GS Warriors organization should be held accountable for the monster they created with Draymond green. He cost them the 2016 Chip. He ran KD out of town, He ran Poole out of town, He’s a habitual nut kicker/puncher. This year alone he stomped on a chest, Choked out someone, and threw a Dray-maker to the face. All European players (Take that how you will). The fact he has changed the team dynamic and has declined as a player, why does the GS organization not run it with a heavier fist when it comes to green.

Very much so. Draymond is clearly going through it. When I was deep into my boxing career, occasionally you'd see the fighter who was clearly angry in the ring, and those were basically free wins. In sport, being angry is almost never a positive, and right now he's hurting his play, the Warriors, and himself. I do hope he gets the help he needs, and there can be an intervention to get him back in the right headspace to save his legacy, because what he's accomplished is absolutely incredible and he's too smart and driven to let this be his lasting memory.

It’s unfortunate for the Warriors; however, how long can this go on? Love Draymond’s game and what he’s done to help this team. At this stage, his value to the team in playing the game at the level he’s getting paid to do, is suspect. Hopefully, he is able to make adjustments, if not and this happens again, the NBA would be hard pressed to keep Draymond in the league.
