The fact that Joe had to sell the track, the album, and God forbid me when I say this, his band and the metal community, to voice out that our planet is in grave danger and yet, the Academy doesn't recognize this?! This man has more class and good will than 95% of the celebrities attending the event. The 300 grand he was able to raise no doubt pale in comparison to the spending involved in putting this lil soiree on so American celebrities can pat each other on the back. This is not a Hollywood millionaire doing their 5th Vanity Fair feature. This is a French dude with a guitar trying to save the damn Amazon forest. This should be more important for us, collectively, as a society, than Olivia Rodrigo's teenage heartbreak.

He dosent have to tow a line as much as more mainstream forms of entertainment so it makes it interesting when he could make his band infamous in the mainstream by saying something outrageous and ‘rock n roll’ yet instead choosing to treat these women with sincerity and conversations of compassion as opposed to the usual self aggrandising topic of conversation to be found at a red carpet event
