same... the day i discovered them was the day i saw them live, right after magma came out... amazing concert, and they're now one of my favorite bands there was a kid about 10 years old there with his dad in the front row... after the show the drummer(Mario, joes brother) jumped down off the stage, gave the kid his sticks and took a picture with him

This man has more class and good will than 95% of the celebrities attending the event. The 300 grand he was able to raise no doubt pale in comparison to the spending involved in putting this lil soiree on so American celebrities can pat each other on the back. This is not a Hollywood millionaire doing their 5th Vanity Fair feature. This is a French dude with a guitar trying to save the damn Amazon forest. This should be more important for us, collectively, as a society, than Olivia Rodrigo's teenage heartbreak.

I haven't seen much of the Grammys, but now I've seen this interview, and I've seen the acceptance speech by Petrucci, and man... I must say they give such a good impression of metal musicians! They are so polite and articulate, and are such gentlemen, much more than many others there who just think they're the center of the universe, and just think of themselves. I'm impressed!

I love how he talks about this amazing experience he had in South America and the interviewer immediately turns it into an instagram moment by saying "that must have been a life changing experience for you." It sounds so hollow and really undermines the whole point of what he's trying to say.

Yknow the interviewers had allot of respect and time for joe…it must be refreshing to talk to someone at an event such as that with something more to say than your typical industry made star. He dosent have to tow a line as much as more mainstream forms of entertainment so it makes it interesting when he could make his band infamous in the mainstream by saying something outrageous and ‘rock n roll’ yet instead choosing to treat these women with sincerity and conversations of compassion as opposed to the usual self aggrandising topic of conversation to be found at a red carpet event
