Joe you're right in the fact that people don't give you credit for when you get the tactics right but then slate you when you get them wrong, that's because you're a professional coach. You got credit in the form of ring magazine trainer of the year, everyone knows you're a good coach there's no denying that. I don't understand how you can not devise a A & B plan for Scott, you must of studied Frampton for years when training Scott on how to beat Frampton? You had 2/3 months from when the fight was announced to come up with a game plan to beat Frampton.. You said in the 3 day media tour you had his number so why did you get it wrong? You're a professional coach and I've only boxed as an amateur but I was scoring it with the TV muted other than between rounds and got it the same as the judges. You are a pro coach and you have pro's around you all day you have to take the flack because you got it wrong not Scott he only does what you tell him. If you was telling Scott what to do and he wasn't doing it fair enough but when you found out sky had scott down you was dumfounded and didn't understand why? I want you to reply and discuss what I've said that goes for everyone else reading this.

Everybody loves to hate. Im not a huge fan on Joe's personality but its hard to disagree with his success rate over the last few years. Good luck to him and his fighters.

The Quigg tactics were horrid! Gallagher should accept his part of the responsibility to that loss as much as Quigg.

Joe needs to take a not out of Conor McGregor's book in being humble in defeat. If he thought the fight was that close he would have watched it back and scored it. The way he conducts himself in this interview just gives more ammo to Team Frampton in what they were saying about him prior to the fight.

I've stuck up for Joe a few times but he is pissing me off a bit now. The tactics were wrong on the night, plain and simple. Be the better man and admit it. He says he has not watched the fight back yet - why not? Is it not an opportunity to see were you (and Scott) went wrong and look to see what you can improve on in the future? He is clearly lacking a few characteristics of what makes a great trainer, put the ability to one side and lets start with the honesty first.
@paulk17028 жыл бұрын
Gallagher is always passionate, so fair play for that. But on the other hand, he often talks such bollox. 'Callum dispatching of Rocky' wasn't in any way down to tactics. Callum has acknowledged this previously numerous times. Quigg lost the fight - clearly, despite his later efforts. Tactics were appalling. What he said to Quigg about Sky's scoring, and the timing of it, was embarrassing. To say he won't watch a replay just beggars belief. Joe - I know you read these comments, so man up and own this one. You screwed up. If Scott's a mate, you should do the decent thing and refund him your fee for that fight. He won't take it of course. So then give it to charity. This will give you some credibility back. It's okay to make a mistake now and then, but bloody scary if you don't acknowledge one that's so obvious. Good luck for the Smith and Crolla fights.

I have gave you credit many times in the past mate, not trainer of the year for no reason. But you did get it wrong you do not need to be a boxing coach, fan or even have a brain to know that if you do not throw any punches and the other guys throws 20 then who wins that round? Gotta score it on something
