The former flat earther hits on a major reason why I like McKeegan, and have issues with Prof. Dave. While I agree with the science Prof. Dave presents, I do not agree with how he fills his videos with insults, constantly calling people idiots or morons. That doesn't help. There is this video made somewhere in Asia (Thailand I believe) where they light up this huge firework. It's like a circle firwork setup. They light it and it spirals upward. With it being a firework, there is smoke which comes out the back end. In the video you see the smoke being in the shadow for the most of the journey upward untill the end where it just peeks above the horizon so to speak and you can see the colour of the smoke change to light grey. Same idea right?

I always have to laugh at the assured nature of these people's claims using an iPhone and P950. Science it ain't.😊

It’s so funny because this is one of those phenomenons you can literally see a couple times a year if you try. I’ve seen it many times before myself. I’m a photographer and have some telephoto lenses and have taken pictures of this exact thing happening.

I used to live where I could observe summer sunsets over the sea, and the contrails of aircraft lit up by the Sun. Not only did I observe the Sun sinking behind the horizon with no change in size from that at midday, but also the point at which the aircraft flew out of the Earth's shadow. That point would start towards the east and move westward as the minutes passed. Exactly what could be expected on a spherical Earth.

So, there are two types of flat earther, the ones who are happy to be convinced of a globe, and the ones who will deny everything they see.

Most globe Earth evidence / flat Earth debunks only fail scrutiny if that scrutiny is shallow and/or disingenuous.
