How did you come up with your target curve? Why is your curve the correct curve?

It seems Magic Beans comes up with the target curve for each system/room combo. Not sure there is a “right” Target Curve.

Look at the recent videos I did on my channel about target curves

Hi Joe, really interested in Buying this app, but want to know if it can be used with the anthem Avm Arc software/avr? Are you going to do(done) a video on exporting to Anthem?

I have magic beans and an anthem.. Unfortunately at this time, anthem is stubborn and won't allow any manual curve or importing curves.. I am going to get a minidsp flex htx to put between anthem and power amps.. This way I can use anthem as a pre with no room correction, and use magic beans with minidsp.. With or without dirac plugin.. Best of Both worlds.. 😊

@desertplanet3320 thanks for the reply, Is was looking at that as well, but for the cost I might as well get a marantz av10. Is it possible to get the target curve for each speaker, and then try to match that target curve in arc Genesis?

@@stampede8681 unfortunately no.. anthem locks down the curve.. You can onky change bass boost region and make a custom roll off for high end.. They have a. tilt control.. you tell it what frequency to start to tilt... bits it's a straight line tilt.. no custom curve at all. 😭

I have a Yamaha A4A. I'll look for that video. 😂

So how does magic beans compare to Dirac ART?
@DailyHiFi5 ай бұрын
It is not meant to compete with Dirac ART. It supplements it by providing the correct target curves which affect tonal balance. It's my opinion that it makes the most noticeable difference compared to other aspects of DSP correction.

Can you just use Magic Beans True Target without an automatic calibraion tool like Dirac or will I benefit from both?

MB doesn't determine the levels or delays, but if you can do that manually and if there's a way to use EQ via graphic EQ, parametric EQ, or a way of drawing a target curve, you can definitely use MB. Dirac does some good stuff with full-range phase alignment that is nearly impossible to do on most systems. That's the added benefit of using MB in conjunction with Dirac. If you have Dirac with bass control, that's another reason to use them together.
