I've been a bit out of the loop. But why is kunessberg getting a lot of hate in the comments and on twitter?

Not a journalist who stands up for the people who can convey a balanced argument around policies/decisions, favouritism who’s going to scratch her back and works for the BBC who’s all for identity politics to keep you distracted whilst the goverment lobby from oil giants like Shell and Think Tank…. So when you wonder hmm my energy bills have gone up I wonder why I don’t hear an opposition from the people or ideas such as I don’t know the decentralisation of energy then just know the media work with goverment to execute the movement of tax payers money into the hands of private elite businesses! But it’s all good because because Laura Kussebberg or however you spell it is really going to show you the corruption that happens behind these doors and how they play a vital role in keeping the people dumb and just to wait for the death bed 🛌

I find this comment to be mean-spirited and pretty lazy. If you see her interviews with political leaders, you’ll find she definitely challenges them and holds their feet to the fire. I’m also not sure why being a “career journalist” is now a slur; we actually need “career journalists” who understand the tradecraft and employ it well. I think this is a case of shooting the messenger (perhaps totally misfiring, actually).

@@kuribojim3916 We do, and she doesn't hold feet anywhere near the fire on questions that count. Too often her questions are batted away by crafty politicians and the only comeback she has is to try and interupt them mid-answer when she realises she's come up short.

I come back to this every now and then, because its probably one of the best bits of political satire in history. He had the Tories absolutely dead to rights: They either have to disagree with what he says - which undermines Truss if her own MPs say she was talking pish, or they have to agree with him and that makes them look stupid. Absolutely brilliant. And he got the last laugh in the end.

But why isn’t there a Conservative comedian ripping the piss out of Labour or Joe? I’m a floating voter, I vote for whoever I feel is the best candidate at the time. But we cannot have one sided comedy on the BBC, we all pay for it, Tories and Liberals as well as socialists. It’s shocking to see that so called democratic people can support bias on a publicly funded broadcaster. It’s pig stupidity amongst people that are highly educated, maybe it demonstrates the difference between the educated and the wise. It will end with the BBC losing the licence fee, and that is a tragedy.
