Two guys on the Journey off life trying to make sense off it all. Funny, entertaining, kind, even thoughtfully. What not too like. Keep going even when you both retire it will be nice to see more of the journey together. Especially after the rugby life. As those challenges will keep coming. Love it all. Obviously I am engaged with it.

2 intellectual and physical leviathans, we are truly blessed that they walk among us!!!! And they are 100% correct, scrums are with us forever, nothing like them in any other sport and they were there from the very inception of the game

To all the law changers - if you want a game with de-powered scrums and more ball in play, go play league. Simples. Great game in its own right but not Union. Leave us and our front rows alone, thanks. X

Why does Borthwick separate Marlar and Cole? Together they parried and withstood the South African juggernaut; it was only after they were taken off that England's scrum took a beating.

I remember someone talking about that, yes, they are the best pairing, but any other pairing can't withstand as much, so by splitting them there is always a good prop on the front row

Not sure Bevan Rodd is really up to snuff yet. Surely English rugby have more props that can take on Cole’s and Marler’s mantle? (Saying that I can remember saying exactly the same about Joe Marler years ago but he has more than proved his worth) If I wasn’t in my 60’s with f@cked knees I would be dusting off my boots!! 😂

The pressure of being in the front row that the England scrum coach describes as reuslting "light headedness....which shows how hard you are working" is not quite accurate. Yes the physical effort required by props is immense...but the physical forces within a scrum have a deeper effect into the spine and the overall neurosystmem of props. This is a type of pressure that is not seen in any other professional sport....and not even seen by any other players in rugby other than props (and maybe the hooker also). I think its amazing that more professional front row forwards do not suffer debilitating injuries during or especially after their careers. I never thought I would say this but I think moving towards a rugby league style scrum with ball feeding and minimal engagement has to be the way forwards.
