While I love these two, there’s a tinge of sadness to it. Potentially our starting props, in their twilight years, yet the best we have to offer. Not their fault, they’re both legends, but there’s been a huge hole of fresh talent coming through. It’s gonna take at least 4 more years to even begin to see some light. RFU sort it out FFS.

Feels to me like it is more of a coaching selection and a Premiership issue. A lot of front-rowers starting who aren't English. And those that are weren't consistently selected for England. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but of everything I've seen and heard for the last year or so, this got to me the most. I understand they aren't supposed to be locked in the hotel all day and having a laugh is important, but do these two look like world champions to you? Do any of them? They clearly have no thought at all about winning it and are there just to enjoy their retirement lap. Its not supposed to be a testimonial for these aging players. Good to know they're all buzzing about playing golf and that the food is good. Marler, in particular doesnt seem to be taking one bit of it seriously. The only one who seemed to be giving it some, and seemed in the zone was Farrell.

Jack in 2016 they were jovial and undefeated. Look at Hasks repeated trolling of Farrell that year. You're seeing 10 minutes of their preparation process. There are problems with what's going on, but the 10 minutes you see here isn't a problem. If there was an Irish series I'm sure they'd be showing some jovial. Miserable, serious players still doesn't output great teams

@jonnybaynham1689 I've got to be honest though it's not just this time, it's every time, and they make a point of saying it every press conference. Wigglesworth said in the presser today that he basically didn't care what anyone, including the fans, thought, and they just wanted the players to be happy and have fun. Anyway we're at the start of the big show now. Fingers crossed, come on England.

If we think using Marler and Cole to market and further widen interest in our game, then we are in deep sheet. We need proper personalities in the game and for the majority of these players to retire. How the hell Adam Radwan has been left at home is beyond me. There is nobody in this current Engalnd backline who can do what he can....strike fear into the opposition. There is a cohort of folk who keep quoting mysterious defense/arial frailties which are bogus when you look at his real stats. Shocking omission but looking at this team he's dodged a bullet. We need whoever is running the NFL/BNA marketing etc to come in and save our sport. It is being managed by amateurs
