So, he's not just a joker in interviews. He comes over as an intelligent and articulate man - enjoyable to listen to. I like the way he has a little pause and think, before answering some questions. Dan Cole also comes over very well - no cliches; unlike many footballers.

The first 'interviewer' was a proper bellend. Maybe he now realises that, when you're asking questions to highly experienced and world class rugby players, bumbling through "My First Book of Obvious Interview Questions" just doesn't cut it. Fascinating little moment at the beginning. I think Joe was firstly annoyed by the fact that the journalist diminished the significance of the game by calling it “quite a big game”, then patronizingly dismissed their previous efforts against Chile (who the journalist also insulted by explicitly stating that they didn’t provide a “tangible” challenge) and then gave him a series of presumptuous statements about his own assessment of the England team (rather than questions) which ended with “haven’t you?” and “can’t you?” I can understand why Joe was irritated. Admittedly Joe behaved rambunctiously but it was the journalist who was being arrogant. Joe meanwhile defended the honour of his team mates, and the integrity of his previous opposition (Chile). It sounded like journalist had already written an article and wanted Joe to provide exactly what his article needed. He was essentially telling Joe what to say. Personally, I love sports people who don’t provide mundane answers. Some character? Yes please!! Afterthought: Perhaps I should be commending the journalist for inspiring Joe’s interesting side!
