Around a dozen+ years ago you visited the Pulborough youngsters on a Sunday morning. I remember with fondness when asked by one of the lads: "were you upset that you didn't earn the money footballers did?", you simply replied: " no, I love the game like you all do, & that's more important". You became my favourite player then, & still are. Love you Joe, good luck with the future (& I can't wait until you appear on Strictly Come Dancing). 😉

I remember seeing Joe , outside Southgate tube station when he was just a pup at Southgate college… waiting for a lift to Saracens for training … I said “how you doing Joe ? … he replied “cheers mate , doing good and working hard “. ….
