I remember that afternoon Down Under in Tassie listening to this and hearing Joe talking about my favourite musician and the book I love with a passion. I was also so thrilled that I was able for the first time to listen something to do with the biography in real time :D It was Orrsome indeed

I COULDN'T AGREE MORE about the fact that JOE emphasizes in the interview about the Drive song video. The Drive song video should have been made for Ben Orr alone. He had like few shots at the beginning of the song and the rest were about Ric and Paula. BEN OWNED THAT SONG and HE MADE IT SO FAMOUS with his BEAUTIFUL AND UNFORGETTABLE VOICE. THAT WAS THE ONLY VIDEO BEN HAD WITH THE CARS. Most of the Cars song video were made mostly for Ric's songs. That was so UNFAIR. BEN ORR DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER , I AM SURE ALL HIS FANS WILL AGREE.

@@joemilliken3438 Thanks Joe for doing a good job, I hardly knew Ben, after reading the book, I think, I now know him better.

Agreed, he had only 2.5 lead vocals on Heartbeat City, only one was a single and in the video he's stuck sitting at a table, with darkened fuzzy haze put over top of it and then it's all about Ric and Paulina. It made no sense really, he's the one singing the song. It's almost like someone said "let's not let anyone see him too much, they might start to remember who he is". Ric wrote that song, but Benjamin's voice made it unforgettable in my opinion. The song is beautiful but as recorded it has a lot of artificial sounds on, not a criticism it's just how it was made, it but the emotion in his voice is so intimate and personal in contrast. It's a masterful vocal performance.
