Purging the prison population each year and making repeat offending of the same crime a death penalty would do more to lower crime. I've been watching 'Treme' which is set in New Orleans in the months after Hurricane Katrina, and 'Derry Girls' which is set in Northern Ireland in the last years of 'The Troubles' - I can't see Joe in either series because in both of them the people living there pick themselves up and go on with their lives day after day, and all he can do is sit around and complain because he's incapable of seeing when other people may have problems bigger than his because he's an overgrown self-obsessed child.
