I don't like the Fab comparison. I never knew anything about Fab except rapping and dressing at an elite level. Big Sean has a better comparison in his same class. He has the same problems as Wale. J Cole's second verse on False Prophets applies to both Wale and Big Sean. Fab was always just chilling and minding his own business. I still remember Big Sean complaining about "his" supa dupa flow being used by other rappers or when his verse wasn't getting enough praise on Control.

The album quality wise is good BUT it's not resonating to listners because he's not being fully authentic. It's what I say about Charlamagne when he speaks on mental health...you can't be an advocate about mental health if you aren't applying it to yourself. Going to therapy isn't the cure. it's the treatment if you're doing the work. Big Sean believes because he's educated himself and gains the knowledge of spirituality and awakening, he's done the work. But he hasn't applied it to himself. That's the disconnect in his music. They completely missed Mel’s example because as usual they cut her off. She wasn’t saying he put pain in the music she was saying when she’s in a certain “state” in her life her music sounds different. Correlation: Sean is at a peaceful place in his life and in THIS state the TYPE of music he just made being directly impacted by it is not the peoples FAVORITE version of his craft. She wasn’t saying ATTEMPTING to ASK him if that’s what he was saying and all he heard was “pain” and was like nah that’s not what I mean I’m not saying he put pain in it. Neither did she.
