@Magnus Maul, This interview looks like it happened before their fight. Chael mentions that it was 3 years since the original ban had taken place, and Joe says Silva’s in “limbo”. So Silva was still out of action at the time of this interview. It’s also worth mentioning Chael was Silva’s first fight after his suspension was lifted, which ALSO happened around the 3 year mark. So the only logical conclusion I can make is this took place shortly before Bellator signed Silva, which in turn means he hadn’t fought Chael yet.

This should serve as an amazing example for a lot of people. There are so many times where someone gets victimized and people shame the victim like "why didn't they do ____?" or "I wouldn't have ______"..... Chael Sonnen is a real stand up guy who could easily do stand up comedy.. (that was lame but it was there so..) But as he has proven time and time again over the years through his actions, nobody would talk more trash to his opponent during the time leading up to the fight and his gimmick was heavily modeled after the promos that the old wrestlers would do and he was the first in the mma game to do it so effectively... However, when the time came to make that walk to the cage he always came ready to fight and after the fight regardless of the outcome he was usually cutting a promo for his next upcoming fight but trash talking aside he is a real one and knows his fellow fighters are all in it to feed their families. Chael just happens to have the mouth to put a whole lot more dollars in him and his opponent's pockets and they should be grateful for that. Look at him now that we get to see the man not the gimmick or the schtick whatever you want to call it. A stand up guy who doesn't hold grudges or bad blood or side with USADA just because he had a heated fued with Wanderlei and pretty much Brazil as a whole. He did the right thing and I hope Brazil can finally forgive him for the trash talking but while talk is cheap, it sure worked to sell tickets and was some of the funniest jabs we ever heard in an mma environment... If this story is true, there is no chain of custody on the samples taken from Chael, no informed consent because Chael was not allowed to see the collector’s ID and credentials. Was this guy a licensed phlebotomist, an RN, an MD? Silva having a clear language barrier makes this all the more suspect. All the fighters tested in this way should band together in a class action in my opinion. I’d love to hear a lawyer’s take on this but I’m pretty sure I’m right, these guys have a case.

However, if… let me repeat that IF other fighters have had a similar experience they have a pretty strong complaint against the people that did this for the reasons I listed.
