TESTIMONY Born in Key West. 1967 Violent, abusive alcoholic father He beat us the first 15 years of my life. Terrorized us with a gun. Molested by grooming pedophile Emancipation at 15 in juvenile. Prison by 27 Released in 2000 Father died. Stepfather shot himself Wife overdosed and passed Son overdosed and passed . I got saved in 2004. I was traveling, still an angry, violent man. I had vengeance in my heart. One night while looking for firewood I noticed a roadside stand at a farm I drove up the driveway. The sign said take the firewood and put the money in the can. Next to the money can was a tract. It said...... My Father, myself. I read it. It was me. I had become my father. My knees buckled. No longer could I escape the mirror. No longer could I run. I went back early the next morning. It was in the foothills of Kentucky near Big Bone Lick State Park. The old man was named Walter Boyd. I asked what he did when people stole the money? He smiled and said.....I pray for them, they must need the money more than me. But that's not why your here is it? Walter said. I told him how much reading the pamphlet hurt me. He said would you like to go meet that man? And just like that we got in the truck and drove up to Ohio. When we walked up there he was, blind and crippled pushing himself on the swing with his cane. Why are you so angry? How did he know? I got all kinds of reasons!!! He said get down on your knees and tell him!!! He meant God. I said quietly, I can't talk to him like that. And there it was. I admitted it with that statement. I had always believed. So that was the Day, the day I accepted Jesus Christ. He is constantly changing me. No drugs, alcohol or porn. No cussing. No sex. No longer am I angry. I have lost my family. Lost everyone and everything. Yet everyday I remain grateful, humble, reverent with a healthy fear of The Father. Thanks for your videos. God bless you.

I think a better example than James is Paul. He went from hunting Christians down to imprison or kill them, to being exactly what he persecuted. He left a position of privilege, power, and respect to being an outcast who gave his life professing a resurrected Christ. You won't find a bigger turnaround in a person, and why would someone do that for a lie?

You met Jesus in prison?? What was HE in for? Anyway, with all that's happened in your life, I'd say that's pretty strong evidence for god NOT existing! Or, if he DOES exist, he's clearly a sadist and very sick individual! I mean, what benevolent god would ever allow an innocent person to go through what you have? Sounds to me like you've had a full and complete mental breakdown if, on top of everything else, you've developed a belief in an imaginary being, and claim to have "met Jesus"!

The great thing about Joe Rogan is that he can ask questions that are critical, or skeptical, or antagonistic, even when he is not truly in opposition to a thing. Where ever he stands, asking these questions, and giving this man a platform to answer them, in the context of a rational discussion, is doing a HUGE service to Christianity.

How do you figure, the only evidence for gods and magic are gods and magic, the time to believe gods intervened in the physical world is after you have the evidence that supports that, just pointing to mundane human occurances without any demonstration that supports a supernatural explanation, A MUNDANE EXPLANATION WILL ALWAYS BE MORE PROBABLE AND PLAUSIBLE.

Josephus Flavius wrote so much, especially about the day of the crucifixion, the darkness, earthquake etc. he also write abt the resurrection as was seen ie Jesus resurrected by over 500 ppl as mentioned in Corinthians. The evidence, written &!archeological is there but still ppl choose not to believe! One day, every knee shall bow & every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord & who He said He was. Personally I believe 15:26 the signs are showing we are moving towards a tyrannical world system & a terrible time is coming upon the earth. We don’t know if Israel will retaliate re Iran & it may set off the war mentioned in Ezekiel 38/39. There are over 300 messianic prophecies pointing to Jesus as the Messiah, I wouldn’t leave it too late when this dreadful 7 year period comes upon the earth & you find it’s too late - now is the day of salvation. Paul tells us Gentiles we must believe Jesus lived died & rose again. Obviously there should be a transformational change in your life, seeking to please God, but it’s not an easy walk but when Christ is within you, it’s Him that transforms if you ask. No one is trying to force ‘religion’ down anyone’s throat- a Christian just wants a non-believer not to perish & be separated from God- especially in eternity. Hell was never planned for ppl but fallen angels & demons but unfortunately that would be your abode should you decide to reject the free gift of salvation- through grace you are saved through faith not by works.. don’t leave it too late! Blessings to you all 🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻

I never even knew of "historical evidence" for the resurrection of Jesus. I was told the gospel from Isaiah 53 very simply one night. I did not even know there was a 3'rd person of the Trinity. I knew nothing hardly about the Bible. I had heard about Jesus all my life, but I was agnostic. That night the Holy Spirit of God convicted me that what Isaiah 53 was saying was in fact about the suffering and death of Jesus Christ for the sins of mankind, specifically for MY sins. One week later I went to church for the first time in probably a decade. I was shown the gospel again from the Roman Road Plan of salvation. I affirmed that I believed it and I made a simple prayer for salvation. I was born again during that prayer. I KNEW that God had forgiven all my sins and I had eternal life. Rogan will never be born again unless he opens his heart to God and humbles himself before God. I hope he comes to faith in Christ before it's too late.

I'm a Christian, and give Joe Rogan a lot of props. He isn't arrogantly dismissive, everything he asks is very reasonable and thoughtful. I'm not sure it's possible to prove Jesus resurrection based on "historical evidence", alone. I can see why people would doubt it. It's something people can know in their heart - without knowing how they know it. Someone I have talked to at length had some kind of awakening experience, where he prayed and said "Lord Jesus come into my heart". He had some kind of emotional catharsis, and after that he said for several days he walked around, and every person he saw was like a brother to him. He told me that later he had an experience where he was alone, and terribly worried about a family get together he was going to attend, and that he heard an audible voice - not in his head - that said "do not be afraid"... he looked around and there was nobody there. He is a very lucky individual to have had such a blessing come into his life. For the rest of us, blessed are we that have not seen (or heard), and yet believe.

you're right there is no way to provide that kind of 100% absolute proof but if historically if we observe the life and death and reason for their death of the apostles and early christians who saw, walked and was present with Jesus (Yeshua Ha'Mashiac). you'll notice all of them died a horrible death due to their faith, you don't die for half truth or lies, .... like the ones who reported abut seeing a big foot i m sure won't lay down his life for it nor it is possible for a group of people to hallucinate and have the very same hallucinations ...

Here's one thing you can always point out to a non-believer, regarding their rejection of the Resurrection: The Sanhedrin could've paraded Jesus' dead body around town to instantly discredit the Apostles' claims, but they didn't. Instead, they alleged that Jesus' followers stole His body, but that makes no sense. How do 11 men, mostly fishermen and tax collectors, sneak past a group of well-armed Roman soldiers in the dead of night, roll a massive stone away from the tomb's door, and make off with the body without waking the guards up? Its statistically impossible.
@coledrago

Jesus is said to have gone thru walls (not doors) when appearing before Thomas and the others. People who are dead set against believing something will go to whatever lengths are necessary not to. If the subject was "Abraham Lincoln", skeptics would say, "Yeah, but how do we know that he existed? Those pictures could be anyone." Regarding the apostles, generally, if you consider human nature, people don't let themselves be tortured and die for a lie, especially if they had been too afraid to even show their faces a short time before. That is powerful to me. Also, Paul writes about the thousands of people who claim they saw Jesus resurrected at the same time, and that many were still alive. That is an invitation to question them. One of the most convincing arguments of the resurrection of Christ is this. 11 of his disciples and many more believers were so convinced, they were willing to go everywhere and share the good news of Jesus. And many including 11 of his disciples died excruciating deaths. Will people die for a lie? Yes, but they thought it was true. Nobody would do what they did if they thought it was a lie. After Christs death which is never argued even by the non believing Jews of that time, or now. They simply say that somehow his followers moved that huge rock which would take a whole lot of people and stole the body. And put the guards to death saying they were involved. But in truth, until the disciples and many, many others saw the risen Jesus, they were at the end of their rope, even considered they followed Jesus for nothing, that he was a clever fake. But when they all saw him, everything changed. Nothing would stop them, even the fear of torture and death which so many experienced. There isn't any way that they all died for a lie at this point, because they witnessed his death and were ready to give up. Once they saw Jesus and actually spoke to him, Thomas wanted to put his fingers in Jesus hands where the nails were and Jesus allowed him to. In a way, he knew how many doubting Thomas's there would be and wanted to let us know the patience he had for us. I use to be a doubting Thomas for sure. My greatest proof is my life, but that says nothing to people who don't know me. So think really hard about this. Yes, people will die for a lie if they believe it's true. So many people witnessed his death and it's the one thing nobody denies. He was dead and so were was his disciples faith. But then a fire started in their minds, heart and soul. They weren't afraid of anything and they had a lot to be afraid of. Most died horrible deaths. Who would go through this for a lie? There's just simply no way they would do what they did unless they actually saw Jesus alive after those three days. No way in that era could anyone come close to pulling off a fake. They knew him personally. He did many miracles that they witnessed. The risen Jesus also did many miracles and if course was visually and audibly recognizable. They had to see him, they had to be convinced beyond doubt that it was him, cause they saw him die. No other historical figures claims to be resurrected from the dead. They had all but given up, even Peter denied him three times. There isn't anyway it could have been faked. His disciples and many others risked death and were killed for telling people Jesus was alive and you can be saved. The amount of accounts of people who saw him alive again is just way too many for it to be even some sort of hallucination. What else could have made them so bold to stand before anyone and speak his name. They had to see him, they had to. Nobody would do what they did unless they were beyond convinced Jesus rose from the dead and it was he who actually spent quite a long time with. Not just a minute, but a long time. It had to have happened. He's really alive and he only asks that you trust him. Ask him to open your eyes and he will. Some have immediate reactions, but most will be transformed over time. Just call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved. Speak the name of Jesus. Even a whisper and he will hear you. For it is by Grace (underserved merit) and this is not of yourselves, it is a gift from God so no one can boast. "It's what it means when Jesus says he is the way, the truth and the life, nobody goes to the father except by me" An easy way to explain it, is he switches records of life with us.

You do realize there is no archaeological evidence for Jesus and historicity would be an inductive argument. I myself, as a scholar, am not a mythicist, but there are good scholarly positions against it. As far as the guards at the empty tomb, clearly Mark wasn't hearing the "stolen body" polemic which was later corrected by Matthew/Luke. Again, zero historicity for ANY tomb let alone an empty one. Constantine's mother, Helena, visited the Holy Land, licked her finger and placed it in the wind (and legend says interviewed local residents).....and there you have it. The site of the empty tomb

Joe, I love you as a brother. God is revealing Himself to you. You are being called. And God loves you more than I ever could. Christ died for you before you were even born. God chose you before the foundation of the world. I understand mocking modern Christianity, but do not judge God by the behavior of people. 1 Corinthians 1:18 18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart." 20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. Joe constantly references evolution and apes. He calls humans “territorial apes.” He has no interest in the Biblical narrative of creation of the corroboration of the Resurrection. From there on everything in the Bible is just moral fables to him. He never gives any Christian scholars a fair shake. He inevitably tries to sow doubt in them instead. The inevitable Big Foot reference and the “no internet” nonsense is exhausting. Joe is entertaining, but he’s actually really dumb when it comes to this topic. Stephen's face actually shone like an angel and Jesus stood up to receive him. The Father's perfect love cast out all fear. I know muslims believe that jesus was born of a virgin…. Do you remember gen:3:15 where GOD confronts the serpent (the devil or deceiver or satan or advarsary) he tells him that he will put enmity between THE woman, between her seed (women do not have seed men do!) and HE will smite you on the head and you will smite him on the heal! Man kind has been karat or cut off from GOD thru this one action. We as a result are dead to a relationship with GOD! GOD on the other hand clearly defined how he would restore this in this verse! A virgin woman would provide the dna for the child but how would the sex be defined without a male? The X or the Y? In the new testament it says the HOLY SPIRIT overshadowed mary and she was with child! GOD revealed the location of the ark of the covenant to a archeologist who wanted to prove the bible to be the word of GOD…. It had dried blood on it from a cross hole 20’ above that ran down a crack from a earthquake! That in the bible happened right after JESUS died on the cross! I understand that sin is passed by the male and not the female according to the jewish people! So from adam to every human sin passed except one! Jesus most certainly died on the cross at 3:00 pm nissan 14 or at the first evening! The sunday before was nissan 10 the 1st day of the passover and the messiah was predicted to show on this particular day per daniel 9: 25 it states 483 years (lunar years of 360 days not solar of 365) comes to 173,880 days from cirus (a Persian when the kingdom had been babylonian!) signing to release israel to rebuild jerusalem! On the precise day 483 lunar years later jesus rides in on a foal or colt of a donkey (see zak 9:9) as prophesied and the people proclaimed jesus as their messiah saying blessed is he whk comes in the name of the lord! Save now! Son of david! All proclaiming jesus as the messiah! The Pharisees hearing this were incensed and said to jesus do you here what the people are saying? Tell them to stop! Jesus replied if they did not say it the very rocks would come to life and say it! 5 days later on fri. @ 3:00 pm jesus died at the precise moment that thousands of lambs were being slaughtered to be the passover lambs for thousands of people…… 3 1/2 years before john the baptist seeing jesus declared “behold the lamb of GOD that takes away the sin of the world!” This was the end of accountability for sin for all that rest their whole confidence on his redemptive payment in full! Although jesus died on the cross his soul did not die! He loved perfectly both GOD and man! He fulfilled the whole law! 3 days (yom’s which is translated in hebrew 3 ways… any part of a 24 hour day, a 24 hour day, as an epoch like as in the day of abraham or in his lifetime!) in the grave and he raised himself up! The father raised him up! The HOLY SPIRIT raised him up! Jesus had said prior that GOD would strike the shepherd and the flock would scatter! Read isaiah 52:13- end of 53! Jesus died precisely the same location the abraham offered up isaac (sorry! It was isaac!) 1700 years before! Abe said after this place shall be called the place where it shall be provided! Then in john 8:56 jesus said abraham seen my day and rejoiced in it! We are sinners! We can do nothing to fix or resolve this! You are a descendant of adam! We must be saved! It is by anothers love for you! See john 3:16! We all need mercy! Mercy is not deserved! It would not be mercy if we deserved it! Psalm 51 king david after having committed adultery with another mans wife (uriah and his wife Bathsheba ) repents saying have mercy according to your loving kindness! This is what we must know! This place of humbleness being saved by another’s love! Pursue it! It may not come the 1st time! Struggle to enter his rest! The struggle is good! You wont be disappointed! Draw near to GOD and he will certainly draw near to you!

Its just so hard to believe, imagine creating an infinite universe full of chaos and completely deadly to humans wherever you put them but we got planet earth where we can live, and all its living creations have to kill and eat other creation in order to survive. What about the 5 mass extinctions? Life on earth was almost wiped out completely at some moment, were those creations not good enough so God got rid of them? Its almost imposible to believe that a good hearted supreme being created all this. Its like we’r in a cruel reality show

Its really hard to understand, and my family do believe in that, having faith is like saying “don’t do the math, just trust what was written more than 2000 years ago”. The world can literally be hit by an unobserved space rock and wipe half of the planet again, no one is protecting anyone. The entire creation is a huge battlefield. Just imagine all the trial and errors humans had by eating poisonous fruits and animals. Millions and millions died just by not knowing those hidden dangers. Did you know that you can get a brain eating amoeba just by getting water up the nose unintentionally swiming on a lake?

Very few people doubt that the places and people described in the Bible actually existed. What they doubt, and have good reason to doubt, is that an itinerant preacher rose from the dead and joined his father, who was actually himself, in Heaven. That's a bit eyewatering to me. Yer, the talking animals, mythical creatures, contradictions, and various clearly fictional stories it tries to pass off as the truth really prevents the bible from being considered a historical record. Finding evidence of a place existing doesn't lend any credibility to the mythical stories set in that place. 2000 years from now when archeologists dig up new York, that won't be evidence for Spiderman.

I do not like the fact that they blame Pontius pilot for Jesus‘s death. Pontius pilot did say ‘I wash my hands of this.’ He was even confused why Jesus was chosen because he was a preacher. The murderer got away scot-free. Pontius pilot was confused by this. Do not forget that it is the Jewish high priest Caiaphas that was pushing for this. And he was in a high position. That should be acknowledged. I don’t like it when history is rewritten because of wokeism. The Jewish high priest wanted Jesus crucified. Pontius pilot could’ve cared less.

It needled to be the High priest, Jesus was the sacrificial lamb offered.. those that pushed for his death unknowingly opened the door to us directly to the Father and an escape from the sin nature we were born into, Jesus paid for or ransomed us out of bondage. And it's free for the asking.

But he had authority to not crucify Jesus. He didn't do it because he was afraid to lose his position and because he was afraid of the jews. Therefore he "backed down" saying: I wash my hands.. If you don't meddle into something where you can make a good change and you just step away (and you could really make a difference) it doesn't mean you are not a part of it, actually you are, but just on the wrong side. Of course, this happend because God meant for it to happen this way,; Jesus had to go to the cross, suffer and die for our sins. That's way he put exactly Pontius Pilot to be the gouverner of this specific time where it is appointed for Jesus to die. God saw Pilat would do this and therefore contribute to Jesus going to the cross as it is written.
