Excerpts from the Joe Rogan Experience podcast
Episdoe 1930 - Adam Curry: open.spotify.com/episode/489c...
I use tags after each video's title as to give the viewers a ballpark estimate in regards to the nature of the content they're about to consume:
[Dark] = 1. some might consider these bad jokes/dowright disturbing/deranged, way out of context, heavily edited; 2. borderline fun yet outrageous
[Dank] = 1. edited out of context, on accasion; 2. meme material, supposed to be as fun as possible; 3. sensible initial subject, even if not altered in any way
[Normie] = edited as little as possible, as to confer the initial meaning, as it was depicted in the podcast
0:00 - Intro
Enjoy! :D

Same. I started to read the Bible to have ammo to use against Christians and religious people. I was and still am super interested in science, astronomy, cosmology, physics and archaeology, yet when I read the Bible, it struck a very deep cord in my soul, and I literally had a spiritual experience. Long story short, I got saved, started walking in love every single day, now work to help people; I’m an associate pastor for a church that feeds the poor every Sunday after our church service. God is real.

Not too long ago, I myself did something similar in the way that I as a lifelong believer I have taken upon myself to not just believe but to truly fully dedicate my life to providing and sharing the truth of our Lord God. That includes finding out what really is going on with the whole taboo of Mary Magdalene, and other discrepancies people may seek to use to prove the flaws and the lack of luster that they might see in the book that is the holy Bible. And I was scared, come to find out that when you have the truth guiding you you can be taught that the truth is indeed pure and many have flat out lied to us and poured these deceits into churches making them unflattering. I have no topic no question no boss to defeat when it comes to having a opportunity to share the word. I have confidence and can point people in the right direction and away from these lies that someone that believes love, like the Lord Jesus Christ was not as peers we think but someone who dabbled and had sex with the lady and you know has a background with prostitutes who is this lady? She is fragments of people's lies, mixed with truths of a actual person written in the Bible. Scriptures are to be read and represented by scriptures. When you can find out that it's a lot easier to believe in this truth because there's no other way if you're the way is paved by the hands of man shaved by the motive of a sinful being.

My dad was a pastor and I was born in a christian home but when i was a teenager i started to run from God and I really hated religion. The craziest thing was that the more I ran from Jesus the more he chased me down and revealed how much he loves me. I love Jesus so much and I pray that everyone watching this will have a revelation of his love and grace the same way i did.

Same here. Actually pursued. I prayed to the universe to help me with my addiction when I was completely hopeless and powerless. God never pushed Itself me but when I asked to be shown the next right thing to do and people to help then signs after signs and signs happened. The first 4-5 I said “I’m seeing what I want to see” but then they kept coming. Then things I’ve never been able to do, God began doing for me. Sober since 4/21/20

Joe says, "you're just getting excited." Adam answered, "yes, but it's better if I listen." Showed he really learned the lesson, "Quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger." I thought it was cool Joe was not going to put him down for it like the guy saying he was an a-hole for interrupting Joe in earlier interview, but I loved that Adam showed he understood how valuable that teaching was, to listen, not to get angry, not to try to talk over people. "It's better," he said. The way of love.

I was visited by Angel at age 5 and I doubted for years about it until recently I became a Christian again when I looked more into it even Paul which his name was Saul he hated and killed Christians until he had an encounter with Jesus and he said in 1 Corinthians 12 onward about people saying that people can’t ride from the dead he stated that if we believe he raised from the dead and it’s not true we are fools for believing in him but he had witnesses 500 in fact some outside the Bible which talked about this and Thomas doubted and said if I don’t see the wounds myself I won’t believe because he would have thought they were hallucinations but really weird that all of them died with a smile claiming what they had to endure just because they wanted to I guess they wanted to suffer be tortured be headed yeah just to gain power but no I for one would tell my experience because I have two of them as well very notable anyway I could keep going but I don’t convert anybody I know there will be trolls saying lol sky daddy or I am illogical when I was an atheist as well anyway waiting for it

@angrybrownsfans
@angrybrownsfans 8 күн бұрын
@@johnnybgood7442fair question. Paul reported of the 500. There was a non biblical eye witness account of James (Jesus’ brother) being stoned to death by the Jewish authority for his believe in Jesus. While Jesus was alive, James did not believe Jesus was the messiah. After he witnessed Jesus’ resurrected, he became a leader of the early church. He wrote the book of James. The non-biblical account of his death was recorded by Josephus, a Jewish historian. There is a difference between me (a believer) going to my death in the name of Jesus and James going to his death in the name of the Jesus. I believe Jesus rose again. James knew Jesus rose again. Paul accounts for the 500 witnesses, and you may not believe him. But Christianity didn’t just fall out of a tree and accidentally flourish in a Jewish state. Christians weren’t tolerated by the Jewish elite and the Roman’s, they were murdered. So with all that being said, 500 witnesses seems plausible.
@johnnybgood7442
@johnnybgood7442 8 күн бұрын
@@angrybrownsfans first of all, Josephus wasn’t a contemporary writer. His earliest writings about Jesus weren’t of eye witness accounts, and were written almost 70 years after his supposed death. Christianity exploded because, unlike the other mystery religions, it accepted the downtrodden, slaves, the poor etc. Once it became popular enough to be useful, the Roman power structure adopted, supported, and finally imposed it within the Empire. That doesn’t tell me anything about the truthfulness of this 500+ witness claim. And it certainly isn’t “plausible” to think that a man was dead for a day and a half, rose from the dead and later revealed himself to 500+ people, when the only source we have of that is from one guy in an old book.

Referencing the irrelevant background of someone that you may call *”credibility”* and saying they therefore must be telling the truth, is an appeal to authority. The TRUTH is that Jesus, god, and Christianity, is beyond illogical. If you wanna believe it, fine, but if you do, I’ll warn you, a majority of wars in history have all been fought because of religion. WW2 fueled by religious and racial persecution, European imperialism being fueled by religious zeal in the 1800s. hell, there’s even an entire time period titled *”the religous wars”* in the 15-1600’s. My point is, religion is illogical, and impossible, it’s bad for society and humanity, so why should someone believe in it? Personally I couldn’t give two dams what you believe in, I don’t care. But it seriously is just detrimental, which is why I don’t promote it.

Penitentiary chances from armed robberies, gangbanging, alcoholism and a heavy weed addiction was the story of my life for YEARS. It all caught up to me after awhile and I had nowhere to turn. I was literally losing my sanity. I didn’t trust anyone around me. I felt like everyone I came in contact with was conspiring against me. To the point where I was ready to kill anyone who I felt was out to get me. I hated feeling that way and really tried to shake it and have a good time. Everything that I tried failed me. The alcohol, the weed, the chicks, the money, the streets, it all contributed to my paranoia. One day, I got high and my paranoia went into overdrive. After an episode at work that saw me threaten my supervisor and two coworkers with a kitchen knife, I sat in my bedroom, grabbed a sawed off shotgun and the Bible and sat in my bedroom with the door locked. The shotgun was for whoever I felt was coming for me. That day would have been their day to die. I had The Bible because I had tried everything else and I was just tired of life and felt like it all would be coming to an end soon. I opened up the Bible and started reading the gospel of Matthew. I couldn’t put it down. By the time I was finished, I was on my face crying like a baby. I called out to Yeshua and said “If You are who You say You are, FIX ME!!!” I had an indescribable peace fall on me. My life didn’t instantly get better but little by little things began to improve. My paranoia went away. My overall outlook on life changed. I stopped sticking people up. I stopped banging. I stopped getting drunk and high. I stayed in my Word. I’ve been in relationship with The Lord ever since. That was 24 years ago. During that time, I backslid and fell back into old habits and He’d pick me back up and clean me up again until those old habits weren’t desirable anymore. In May, my wife and I will both be ordained. Praise God!! Thankful for His Grace, Mercy and Deliverance!! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

Rather that be for starting a war to giving people peace and purpose. God broke through the walls I’d built one day like the koolaid man. It took years of Bible study and apologetics(such a massive help) before the gap was small enough for me to make that leap of faith. @joeturner9219

@@timterrell8678The thing is, no one can "prove" God just like no one can "disprove" God. God is FAR above our finite brains and His Ways are higher than ours. We can't "figure out" God. All of our measly "logical thinking" and arguments can't even scratch the surface of God. God has provided more than enough evidence through His creation, through science, through history and through morality. It's just that some people are too stubborn to acknowledge it as God and are willfully ignorant. Atheists just don't like to accept the truth and don't like the idea of a holy and just God who will one day hold them accountable for their actions. Instead, they rely on science because thats the only option left. But unfortunately, science as awesome, powerful and useful as it is, cannot explain everything. It can't answer the main questions such as "Why do we exist?" What is the origin of life?" In biology, evolution may be able to explain what happens when you HAVE life, but it can't explain how life actually BEGAN in the first place. Scientists can't answer how the big bang happened in the first place. Being an Atheist DOES require faith. There are so many big questions left unanswered by science and it can't and never will be able to answer them. You're expecting God to reveal Himself to YOU? Not gonna happen. It doesn't work that way. You seek after HIM. That's how it works. God is not obligated to reveal Himself to anyone. But there is a promise. If you truly seek Him with a sincere, honest and pure heart, He WILL reveal Himself to you. See, true Christians aren't Christians because of blind faith or intellectual belief. True Christians are Christians because they sought after God with all of their heart. Wanting to love Him. To know Him. To serve Him. To submit everything to Him 100%. That's why we have a relationship with Him. Because He revealed Himself to us. I think the issue with most Atheists (not all but most) isn't a "lack of evidence" thing. I think the main issue is because they don't WANT God to exist. They simply don't WANT to submit to God if He is real. That would mean they would have to give up a lot of the things they are doing that is wrong. Let me ask you a question, if Christianity was true, would you be a Christian? If God were to appear to you in front of your face in a dramatic bolt of lighting and said "I'm God. I exist. Here I am." What would you do with that intellectual belief? (Assuming you wouldn't just brush it off as a hallucination) Would you sincerely be willing to give up your sins and your way of living for God's Ways? To serve Him and love Him for the rest of your life? Or would your attitude be like "Wow. I was wrong. You really do exist God." Then just go on with your life and operate as if He doesn't exist? If your response would be the second option, then by no means is God going to reveal Himself to you. He doesn't care about someone's intellectual belief. He wants your HEART. He wants a RELATIONSHIP.
@timterrell8678

@@joeturner9219 I just finished reading your long response. I feel like you have never met an atheist before. You have mentioned a lot of Christian stereotypes of atheists. You can replace “God” in your response with any other fictional characters such as universe creating fairies. 🧚 “The thing is, no one can “prove” universe creating fairies just like no one can “disprove” fairies. Fairies are FAR above over finite brains and their ways are higher than ours. We can’t figure out fairies. See how that works out? Does it take you more faith to not believe in universe creating fairies when you have this universe existing right in front of your eyes? I am open to a possibility of a God existing but the problem is the laws of physics in this reality that we share, don’t allow any Gods to exist and interact with this reality. Seek first and then you shall find is called confirmation bias. You can do the same thing with a rock. I pray to a large rock in my back yard, and it works! When I get what I ask for, I thank the rock. When I don't get what I ask for, I trust that the rock knows best. When I do something wrong, I ask the rock to forgive me, and I feel cleansed. I share my gratitude for all the good things that happen to me with the rock. And sometimes it's not about expressing gratitude or asking for anything from the rock. It's simply that talking to the rock makes me feel better. Actually, praying to the rock works in the same way as praying to the God of any religion. Science not knowing how something happened doesn’t make the supernatural possible. In fact, every discovery of science ever throughout history has found it to have a natural cause. It should worry you that your beliefs aren’t detectable at all in this reality. We have good theories of how life began with Abiogenesis. We know life started as single celled organisms for billions of years before becoming multicellular. At the time of the Big Bang the universe was purely quantum. In quantum mechanics, events don’t have a cause, just a probability. No supernatural God is required. If you find it’s a problem that someone asks for evidence then you should see that as a red flag when you point to faith for your beliefs. Any belief can be held on faith regardless if it’s true or not. You making the argument that science doesn’t have all the answers and never will is a fallacious argument from ignorance and a God of the gaps. I actually care if my beliefs are true or not. I feel like you care more that your beliefs fill in gaps and make you feel good. Pointing to anything existing in this universe is evidence that this universe exists. It’s not evidence for some deity, especially some specific deity from Christianity.

I was born and raised Catholic. So I already believed. At 15 I started partying. I had been told by my mother that there was a lot of alcoholism in the family so drinking was risky. I wasn’t the kind of alcoholic that woke up needing a drink. But when I drank I always drank too much. Often to the point of blacking out. I abused alcohol until I was 30. I checked myself into a 30 day inpatient treatment program in Sioux City, Iowa. A part of the program was the 12 step program of AA. The most important plank being acknowledging the existence of a higher power in our lives. I will be 64 soon. I haven’t drank since a New Years Eve party 1989. I tried many times during those 15 years of abuse to quit drinking on my own. My 33 years of sobriety are all thanks to the glory of God. My struggle with trying to quit smoking all these years is proof to me that my sobriety isn’t because I have a strong will. It is the presence of God in my life. I’m sorry for the length of my comment but if it helps one person quit drinking or accept Christ it’s worth it.

I'm atheist and always will be although I've been christened, I think being true to religions like christianity has great benefits for you and others and it will improve your quality of life etc. Ricky Gervais explains it well - there's 3000 gods I just don't believe in 1 more than you. I believe after death nothing happens, just was it like before you were born, although I wish christianity was true , thereby not everything would be based off science and true 'magic' would exist. But the universe does exist so idk shits kinda mad icl.

We're definitely not just the body. We're God, spirit, universe, whatever you wish to call it compressed in human expression. Not in a sick egoic way that wants to supersede source, but in a divine sense that submits him or herself to the same force that grows our nails, hair, wounds, you name it. When the teachings of these spiritual teachers such as yeshua are read. You never read them literal, and you never ask "HUH?!, what does it mean?!" as you read it, The truth hides itself from such ways because those ways are the ways of flesh(ego). I had a mentor who'd slap me on top of my head when he would see me begin analyzing the scriptures😂 I'd say "HEY!", Turn around to look at him irritably, turn back around, then go back to reading. It started to teach me how limited our perceptions are when we try to consciously, and consistently use our intellect to understand something, rather than letting our unconscious mind process it and then generate in our hearts, and finally expressed through our body. But that's another subject. One must "deny themselves" That is our worse fear, especially when we heavily identify with things that aren't us. The ultimate letting go. I personally, and unfortunately cannot be mad at another who doesn't really seek to do this considering the amazing bliss and feeling of being you have at the end. Because your more animalistic desires or lower nature still remain, they just begin coming at you more in slow motion, and at a distance from you, the awareness that's aware, the I Am. Imma stop, don't wanna say too much. What's good for survival, isn't good for creation. Spirit against the flesh, flesh against the Spirit. Where balance is, yes, harmony -something my inner voice just said.

Same here, but I was reintroduced to God from my best friend who was more of an atheist than me. He died from cardiac arrest and brought back to life. He had a NDE and told me we have some kind of spirit vessel that lives on in the afterlife and there is a God that created it all here on earth and there in heaven. He first experienced darkness and the kind of fear that would kill a living breathing person...as a former christian, he remember or knew about prayer, how to ask for forgiveness and how to expel the evil. When he or his spirit started doing this, the evil began to go away and began to be replaced with a feeling of love and comfort moving toward the bright light of God and as he was getting closer, God told him he was not ready and was slammed back into his body and eventually awakened back on earth. He took this as a warning from God, as anyone can imagine. It would or should certainly cause any atheist to change their belief, if not, then God help you!

I was raised by two atheists (my dad was a scientist) and I never saw the inside of a church until I left home as an adult. But, at 8 years old, while exploring in the Rocky Mountains where we lived, it dawned on me that there IS a God. I KNEW there was a God at 8 years old in spite of my home teaching. It has taken me decades to find a church that I feel is not weighed down by much of anything except to love our fellow man. But I agree with Joe's guest, it is a fascinating, joyous and strengthening journey. When I meet a new friend that proudly proclaims that they are an atheist, I ask them if they believe in love. When they say "yes", I tell them then they believe in God, because God is love. 1John 4:8.

Ive read the bible three times and used to sincerely believe but have since realised its completely irrational and isnt based on any demonstrative evidence which is required to prove or show knowledge of anything. Also theres over 10,000 to choose from as all are mutually exclusive as each have differing answers on what happens after life and how everything came to be. All are to be believed on faith in indicative (indicative/anecdotal evidence only suggests possible outcomes of which there could be billions) evidence so theres no rational pathway to choose one over the other. All claim to have miracles, almost all have correct prophecies yet only 1 or 0/ 10,000 could possibly be correct. What religion you believe in is almost solely dependent upon the place on earth you come from, the people you are surrounded by and the era in which you were born. If i was born in norway in the viking era id believe in thor, odin etc and have zero knowledge that the bible even existed. This literally means if a god exists theyve created a world in which alot people dont have access to his word and reject his teachings. At the end of the day everyone is agnostic for otherwise theyd simply provide demonstrative evidence for the claim that a god exists and if someone did so theyd win a nobel prize.

As he prayed all the pain went away and the next day my left arm that quit working for me two months earlier started working again. It absolutely blew my mind. I still continue to go to church there and I continue to see others miraculously healed. That’s my proof that Jesus was the son of God and he died on a cross for me and rose again 3 days later. I feel and put my hands out and my dad who was 230lb rolled over my ring and middle finger on my right hand. Both fingers were sticking straight up from the middle knuckle. Obviously I was screaming bloody murder! We got off the ice and another skater came up who was a doctor and said call 911 those fingers are crushed. We got ice on it and the whole church was praying and the pain went away. During prayer I said “Dad it isn’t hurting anymore”. We looked and my fingers were straight again and the swelling was gone. Just a mark on my skin. I was able to squeeze his hand without any pain at all. I was like 7-8yo. A few years back when I was like 33 I was having some carpal tunnel symptoms in that right hand. They has done x-rays and was waiting her hear back. To doctor came in and asked “So how long ago did you break your two fingers”. I was confused and said I never had. He looked at me and said “Well these x-rays show that they had been broken before. It then dawned on me about that incident and was just confirmation that God almighty healed those fingers that night! Praise God

My family distorted the scriptures in the name of God and made our life traumatic. I had every reason in me to turn from God altogether and abandon what I was raised to believe. I knew that the indescribable love I had for someone I never knew wasn't meaningless and I didn't know why but I just couldn't leave Him. I dug into the scripture for myself as a young child and found myself deeper in love with a God that wasn't out to get me for every little bad thing I did. I didn't have Hell in the forefront of my mind anymore. My fear of His justice and wrath was healthy and understanding. I felt love and read love. He loves His children and will protect them at all costs even if it means allowing them to endure hardships to strengthen and fortify their faith. I went through a lot but through the suffering my father was with me and raised me Himself through His word. I can proudly say that I am only who I am today because of Him. Jesus paid the ultimate price so that we could be set free from the curse of the law. Those who don't believe will never see and know. Anything we say is nonsense to them but it's more than just love. It's purpose and fulfillment. I know who I am and where I'm going even if I'm physically going nowhere in life. I don't have a lot in life but what I do have, I cherish. This life is so short. I don't desire things in this world that are temporal or destructive. He has inclined ny heart to love His word and love people. We all sin and fall short but we don't stay there. We gain maturity and wisdom with every passing trial. Through it, we gain greater endurance, greater hope, greater love, greater trust, greater self control, greater patience, greater peace, greater faith, etc...

Very good question. The Bible says that if we earnestly search For God with a humble heart, we will find him. So that is good. But it also says that we are surrounded by a spiritual realm that is inhabited by angels, some of which were kicked out of heaven. Those dark forces want to influence us to turn away from the truth of God, and they are deceitful and tricky and can fool us, and get us to believe the wrong thing, if we are not careful. So… what is truth? Jesus said “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Is all this a bunch of malarkey? Well, have u searched for God with a humble heart? The book of John in the New Testament is a good place to start. It is an easy read and very enlightening. Basically, the Bible shows that God is love. When someone asks “How much does God love me”? Jesus answers “I suffered and died on the cross for u”. So…. Pretty powerful stuff. As far as comparing Christianity to Islam, I am no expert, but there is a guy (Nabeel Qureshi) that was a devout Muslim, and had devout Muslim parents (who were also missionaries for Islam). He used to debate Christians all the time and point out the “flaws” in their belief. But most of those Christians only had superficial knowledge and looked kind of dumb, because Nabeel knew the Koran inside and out. But, on his way to becoming an MD, he met a Christian guy at the university who had pretty extensive Bible knowledge. They debated and discussed for a long time, and little by little Nabeel became convinced that Jesus really was the Son of God and that Christianity was true. But for Muslims, changing faiths is a very hard thing to do because they are considered shameful traitors and are outcast from their community. Their parents also turn their back on them. It is my understanding that the Koran even says that they should be killed. Nabeel Qureshi has a few videos out there. Check them out for yourself. Good luck in your spiritual search for the truth of God, my friend. Just be humble and ask him to lead u in the right direction.

I felt extremely lost and anxious all the time, some days even suicidal. Also came from a broken home, no father figure. After many years of my mom telling me I needed Christ in my life. I began reading the bible just to prove to myself that nothing in there was true, and my god!has it had an amazing transformation in my life. Every book in the Bible has given me so many life lessons that I so desperately needed 😭 I have not yet babtized myself as a Christian but I will because the way it’s changed me it’s a miracle in itself. After meeting an amazing Christian girl (who I later married) while in the US Navy, I tried to take a really hard and unbiased look at Christianity. All I can really say is that God somehow touched me in the depths of my being and made something alive that was previously not alive. It seems like I see life clearly now, like through a proper pair of glasses that I never knew existed. We as a created people so Loved by God had a falling out with God as we can see so many examples of whenever our children choose to not abide in our parental rules. We can see the very same Agape Love that is seen over and over with very patient parents of kids who act out in a rebellious nature towards any and all authority. Rules that are only designed to protect that which all loving parents place a very high value on. What Father would give his son a stone if he ask for a loaf of bread? Exactly why Jesus spoke in so many parable's hoping to send his message across to those in doubt by sharing in Truth all that he is and what he truly wants for us all. As parents we are blessed by the Holy Spirit to "Procreate" Life as a Man come together with a woman and unite as one with God the Holy Spirit. The Family is similar in nature to the concept of the Trinity, 3 separate in one; The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The very interesting aspect not many realize is that it says in the Bible that when a Man and Woman come together in Marriage, they become as one. and then the very eternal word of God as we know it as the Bible; Torah, and Gospels form the very inspired word of God. The Holy Scriptures in the first book describe the word as eternal and never ending. It also references the Christ as the eternal Word that transfigured into human Flesh and walked amongst us. We are created with specific design and purpose. Our all Loving and all merciful creator only wishes to have a personal relationship with us all in Truth and Love. We Glorify our creator by doing his will just as a proud parent sees his or her Daughter or Son abiding in them by doing good and the struggle of overcoming our true nature to do evil. This was very apparent throughout the entire Old Testament (Torah) of the many examples of man's constant failures from Abraham, Isaac, Moses, David, etc.. on into the time of Jesus's apostles Peter, Paul, etc.. All have fallen short of God's Glory. So it is with purpose that our all Loving God sent his only begotten Son Jesus the Christ into this world for the specific purpose to act as our Savior. The Hebrew meaning of his name describes this purpose. When we see our day to day struggles in this short life , its very easy to then understand the deeper teachings and meanings. We are all given free will to accept or reject this gift of Love and Truth. God will not force us into Loving him, although he truly wishes that all would come to him. We are to treat one another as you would want to be treated in return. How is that not understood? Imagine if everyone followed this idea? It would miraculously solve everyone's problems. Yet we instead ignore Love and Truth, and would rather seek out our own personal selfish desires without contemplating what our consequences may be and how our actions affect others. That by definition is simply being selfish. We are to be Humble in Christ, not with Pride. The Greeks divide Love into 3 main categories; Agape, Philia, Eros. The oldest written language known to mankind is no accident, its Hebrew, and also happens to be the most unique language of all others. It is the only language that can be interpreted in 3 specific ways. Coincidence? Or maybe the Trinity at work? We live in a finite world surely where nobody escapes a certain death. We measure our finite world in both Time and Space by Past , Present, and Future. Space by Length, Width, Depth. coincidence? their is that number 3 again. It remains all around us and we even see the Hebrew first three words written in the book of Genesis; "In The Beginning" (called the "Bereshit") . I would encourage all who are interested to dig deeper into the actual meaning of these 3 words, its quite amazing.

As a child I was raised as a Christian, I honestly didn't want to go to church etc..(boring) as I grew older and wiser I looked into other religions, and you see all of these red flags in each of them. Then I came to the conclusion these are man made, and its all about the personal relationship. So I went to church from time to time (still felt out of place to some degree) and when I prayed, I always asked for something, one day I realized to stop asking. I am now 40+ years old, and I pray nightly. I wont go into detail, but I express my gratitude, and express my love to the father and Jesus.. However, the most powerful thing I ask, is for Jesus to dwell in my heart. I can tell you, something happens to me, I feel it, and its raw, and I cannot explain it. I feel weird typing this to you all, because this is personal to me. I also don't suppress others beliefs, if you feel there is nothing beyond this life, that is your prerogative.

As a former Atheist, I can say without a single doubt in my mind, God is 100% real. I was raised Catholic, didn't like it, became Atheist, eventually went homeless 100% by choice, for no reason other than this strong feeling that I HAD to do this for some reason, and then I discovered a real relationship with God through my humility, and feeling Him guide me as I lived with the homeless throughout the country. Before, as an Atheist I was wise enough to recognize that I was treating people and my family wrong, but I didn't have the strength to change. I had a sort of lust and hatred towards women, and my parents just annoyed me, so I never really spoke to them, but God changed me, and I owe everything that I am to Him. I have a beautiful loving wife now, and a strong relationship with my family. I have true love in my life now, and I thank God for it every day because I don't know what I would have become if He had not stepped into my life. I've also seen the supernatural move in the physical world as well. I wish everyone would experience this. It was the one thing that made me say God is more real than even the World that I see. God is so, so incredibly real that I literally brings tears to my eyes just writing this.

And a Muslim 100% knows Allah is the one true god because they have the exact same emotions you have. Doesn't make any of it true.

@No Name If he is still a Catholic, and remains one until he dies, you will both end up in hell if you remain in those two cults. Islam is a false teaching religion the same as Catholicism. Both mention the name of Jesus, but both also deny Him in their doctrine. And to deny Jesus Christ will bring condemnation.

@No Name why should I believe Mohammad who contradicts Moses theology of God? The God of Moses enters His creation, Allah doesn't. The God of Moses calls Israel and His people His children (spiritual not physically) and Mohammad says no one can even metaphorically say they are the spiritual children of Allah and Allah is a father to no one not even spiritually. Mohammad comes after not only contradicting the theology of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Isiah etc... But also the apostles and eye witnesses of Christ Jesus. So who's right, the one who came with a different Allah or Moses who writes that God was IN the pillar of cloud when He spoke to Aaron and Miriam. Daniel writes that in fire where Nebuchadnezzar threw Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego there was a fourth like the Son of God and confirmed it was actually God in the fire because a regular angel doesn't appear as the Son of God, this angel is none other than Christ Jesus, "Son of God" would be heresy to Mohammad. He contradicted everything that came before Him and brought a different Allah not the same God of Abraham and Moses or Daniel. You need to study their theology of God then you will come to the truth, Mohammad came with a contradicting message. These are only a few major differences between Mohammad and the prophets, there are plenty more. Moses and the prophets all point to Yeshua the Son of God. Your truth is there, Mohammad couldn't even be fit to unstrap the sandals of Yeshua. Yeshua is Holy, follow his teachings not the man who created Mutah, disowned his step son after marrying his ex-wife, said that Allah promises an everlasting penis erection for sex with woman brought up from Sheol who know all the best pleasures, when Jesus teaches the complete opposite, there won't be sex in heaven nor marriage. Yet you ignore those teachings of Christ and His eye witness apostles but you believe someone who never met an apostle and came with a contradicting message. Mohammad is an attack on who God is! Stick to Jesus.

I am changing my stance on a higher power myself. The more I learn about biology and how amazingly complex our own bodies are I can't fathom there not being a creator. The same goes for learning about nature, ecosystems, and the complexity of it all. I am agnostic and I just started praying again everyday

Check out videos (and books) by Dr. Stephen Meyer. He (and many other highly ranked PHD scientists) believe that science actually points to God… exactly the stuff u are talking about. Pretty informative stuff. He has lots of videos out there. If u want to dig into the bible, the spiritual realm, Jesus & the gospel of salvation, I suggest checking out Dr. Michael Heiser. He is a Bible scholar and also has many videos (and books) out there. Start with “The Spiritual Realm”. God tells us (in the Bible) that if u earnestly search for him with a humble heart, u will find him. So true. Good luck on your spiritual journey, my friend.

@@jordanroper5353look up: top ten historical references to Jesus outside of the Bible. He definitely existed and was crucified under Pontius Pilate. Historians agree on that. As far as rising from the dead… Sure, no human being can do that…. But if he really was the Son of God, why not? Could his disciples have made up the story? Unlikely, because the followers of Christ were being hunted down, arrested, tortured, imprisoned & killed. People are totally NOT going to suffer all that about something they know is a lie…. What would be the point? But, people that KNOW it is the truth (and what it meant) WILL. Check out the book of John in the New Testament. It is an easy read and pretty eye opening. Be cool, my friend.
