Adrian Octavio you’re wrong. Average lifespan for hunter gatherers was only so short because it was skewed by high infant mortality. If they made it past infancy, then they would often go on to live just as long as we do in the developed world, while being much healthier. There is a lot of anthropological research on this. Look it up and stop being ignorant. To think our ancestors regularly would die at or before 30 is just silly.

I went about 6 months with intermittent fasting with walking for about 1.5 hours a day (to and back from college) and had lost about 22kilos. Totally shocked when I weighed myself I had no idea what I did to lose this weight. All I did was: -Cut out junk food (the unnecessary sugars) -Walk every day -16hrs intermittent fasting (skip breakfast) It works. Seriously. Control your hormones and you will go places you've never been.

@robmichael8136
@robmichael8136 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah man. It's actually unhealthy to eat 4 hours before bed during digestion anyways. Most days have a healthy dinner, don't eat before bed. When you wake up feel free to have sugar and carb free coffee, tea, energy drink, etc, skip breakfast and eat a meal or two in a 4 to 8 hour window. If you have a healthy low carb/sugar lunch and dinner fasting is a breeze. 4 hour fast after dinner, 8 hour good night's sleep, then eat 4 hours after getting up and you're good to go. It's easy after you adjust and your stomach shrinks. I'm on ketomwoth intermittent fasting right now and I'm down from 202 to 184 in 2 and a half weeks. Good luck. Thomas Delauer and Eric Berg would be beneficial to youtube.

GEORGE.W. BIATCH. "Genetics" has very little to do with it. Show me those fat people from 100 years ago... Protip, you can't. Genetics will determine metabolism. But the body when in a fasted/starvation state will cling on to body fat. Multiple small meals a day will lean a person out incredibly fast. Because the metabolism goes through the roof
@AFRIKTODAY
@AFRIKTODAY 6 жыл бұрын
I disagree! Genetics does play a role in my opinion. 100 years ago, people did not eat multiple small meals a day. They were lucky to eat one big meal, if that. You are countering your own assertion. The over-eating epidemic is directly correlated with obesity, and that is a fairly recent phenomenon in human history. So, yes, there are people in fairly advanced society that are more or less likely to be prone to become obese because of their genetics. You put 2 fat individuals together and you get a fat baby; add a few McDonald and Burger King on every street corners and you get a fat town! Intermittent fasting has produced great results for total body fat loss and no, it is not a fad but rather a realignment with they way Man has been sustaining himself for most of Human Evolution.

I fasted on water for 3 days. Here’s what happened: I wasn’t hungry at all after about 6:00 PM on day 1. So the hunger goes away. Day 2 my brain fog completely went away and I felt like a freaking genius. I actually looked for opportunities to talk to people because I’ve felt brain dead for so long. Day 3 I noticed the weight loss and an energy boost. I almost kept going, I felt so great. So now I fast 2 days a week just to maintain that energy level and combat the severe brain fog. It’s worth a shot, folks. I think what we’re eating is messing us up.

I fast a lot for spiritual reasons. But I'll just add. When you do develop into a normal routine of fasting. It becomes easy to do. As in, you get hungry WAY less often because it seems that you have trained your body to be able to handle taking in food less regularly and so it is used to it. So when you do feel hungry the feeling is way more easy to manage and it isn't a major burden anymore. Just like everything, it takes training and practice. Over time it's really nice. Especially spiritually, its the perfect way to let your ego die, don't ask me why or how.. It just works.

Good conversation. I remember being overweight from age 7 to 13. I fasted basically to lose the weight. Only ate 800 calories a day and noticed huge energy spikes, more power and became sharper like the doctor mentioned in this video. I was always better than others at sports or academics just because of how my engine ran. I believe fasting and eating one meal a day was big time for my success. Still to this day I fast normally at least 24 hours then eat and repeat.

I did a 36 day water fast in 2021. My goal was to go for 40 days. I only quit, because I contracted Covid-19, and had the absolute worst nausea that I’ve ever had in my life. I sipped chicken bone broth, which, unfortunately broke my water fast. I did learn quite a bit though, even though I didn’t make it to 40 days, water fasting. My weight at the start was 286.8 pounds. 7 days later, I weighed myself, and the scale read, 264lbs, a total of 22.8lbs lost in a week! Probably 17-18lbs was water loss, then probably 4-5lbs fat, then the last tiny amount of weight, was muscle. I felt incredible! Also, I finally achieved the, “No more hunger zone”, as I put it. The only thing I’d do from time to time, was take a pinch of, “Real Salt”, for some salt and other essential trace minerals. I only had water, no coffee, tea, nothing else. I took blood readings, twice per day, morning and evening, for glucose and keytone levels. It was interesting, my blood glucose stayed between, 95 an 64 and after about the fifth day my blood keystones, by day 7 of my water fast, were 4.1! I was in serious fat burning mode! My keystones were always over 4 and one time went as high as, 6.9! My final weight-in on day 36: 237.4lbs. A total weight loss, of 49.4lbs, an average daily weight loss, of 1.37lbs per day. Had I not gotten stricken badly with Covid-19, I know I could have continued for 80 total days, with only water. If my weight loss average was consistent, in 80 days, I would have lost 109.6lbs and weighed my healthy weight, of 177.2lbs. Look up the KZbinr: “Fasting Fat Man.” This guy will amaze you! Peace.

I may try this then because I have a lot to lose. If I lose weight without surgery is there I chance I won't have pile of saggy skin? Sorry to pick your brain on KZbin but I'm thinking I may have to save up for a surgery to remove unwanted skin as well. Right now I go 347 after losing 30 pounds and haven't seen any loose skin yet.

Giving your bowl a rest....or letting your pancreas basically readjust itself by going npo and only having iv fluids. Noooo shit that's going to help. Will also help a stomach ulcer..crohns or colitis flare...etc. it's what you do alllllll the other times that will cause those issues to not appear in the first place. Don't us " cured" anymore either....it's not a cure it's temporary relief. Thank God your not my nurse.

@@rickeyeaster1176 For most people fasting is a diet they can not maintain. People who can fast without getting too hungry are naturally skinny and don't require a lot of calories. If you are fasting you have to eat a days worth of calories in a slight deficit of around 200 calories in an 8 hour period which can be difficult. If not you're literally being anorexic and starving yourself to loose weight. The best way to loose weight without being hungry and still get proper nutrition is to eat multiple small meals per day and to stay in a calorie deficit. Eat low calorie dense foods and alot of protein for satation. Thats the easiest weight loss diet to follow if you're fat. Fasting ruins your metabolism and is a diet of failure for most.

As you get older your digestive system takes longer to digest and your capability to workout as vigorously and often as you did when you were younger also declines so in my opinion fasting serves to offset the negative consequences of having a slower digestive system and working out less vigorously. It has definitely helped me to lose some weight but more importantly a significant amount of body fat and the only place that I really accumulate fat is in my stomach....

Yes people who don’t understand intermittent fasting and don’t bother to look into the subject do see it like it’s such a bad thing. Like they think humans have always been eating for every hour of their waking day since the beginning of time. I had one friend who told me it would ruin my metabolism. Well 2 years on I am in good shape and intermittent fasting is now a way of life and seems so natural to me. My weight has been stable since I lost the weight I needed, I have freedom to eat what I like without fear of gaining the weight back. That friend is still around 100lb over weight and has been on and off ‘diets’. Edit: When I said intermittent fasting I just meant fasting in general.
