This podcast was one of long chain of events that changed my life. I moved to Indianapolis from Nebraska when this came out. I had a 9 hour drive, and in the final 3 hours I was so bored, I decided to listen to this podcast with a random neuroscientist... and immediately listened to it again the next day, then I began my journey through all of Huberman's content. My life would genuinely be infinitely worse if this never came out.

Pulling the heat through the hands.... I knew that was a thing lol people told me I was crazy at work I'm a supervisor at a factory where the avg temp runs no less than 170 with 80% or more humidity I noticed if I ran my hands under cold water I could manage to not suffer heat exhaust by running both of my hands under coldwater for a brief amount of time .... I made some coldwater stations (ice and water in a bucket) for them to put their hands in and swirl around I managed to keep all of them out of the hospital and working and constantly am able to do so un like the other shifts where somedays they have 5 or more people going to the hospital from passing out cause of the heat.... it's a crazy hot place to work and despite what we do it's very physical and repetitive

An absolute bow and respect to Joe and Andrew for all they do publicly. Just two things - as a matter of fact cows in that "bad day" know that they are going for a slash/bullet (they know it as they sense each others' fear when the one that was taken out of the herd does not come back anymore - they do not know what happens but the more they fear the unknown and the "not coming back". Second thing is an issue explained by Sadghuru (de facto a guest the other day of Joe) - the stress must not be managed, but avoided - managing stress means we are taking it as an unavoidable fact in our lifes - as nomeclature matters to our brain, we should not manage the stress but try to keep it out of our lifes with the perspective on the beliefs that make us think what we think on what we experience in life ;) (I hope that is not too complicated heh). Peace!
