I largely agree, but he's also very much part of the problem today. He's pouring all of his efforts into creating a strong hyper-right class of young people with far rightwing universities & organizations, whos very goals are to do a better job of creating information bubbles around their own people, than the left does to theirs. That isn't the answer...the answer is to stop talking & thinking about politics & social issues so damn much & get back to raising successful families & enjoying our lives, & respecting our fellow Americans, & world citizens for that matter. Increasing the dangerously toxic American divide cannot be the answer.

Absolutely the right take. Used to be homeless and in all likelihood only a couple weeks away from intentionally going out with a needle in my arm. My life was so small and lonely and miserable. The biggest thing that helped me stay clean was the fear of future consequences if I continued living that way. Had I been in Portland things would've been bearable enough that I wouldn't have had any motivation to change. Now I have my life back and it's years behind me but I'll never forget how bad it got. These types with their faux compassion are just cowards draped in false virtue. Not everyone makes it out like I did, but I can say with confidence that because of their policies in places like Portland we've lost many who could've been saved if they were given real help (including consequences) instead of aiding their demise

Its not what you say no to, its how. Example, I used to give my nieces and nephews pocket money each week, and they quite often asked for more money to buy a more expensive item, so I would say yes OK, but you will have to take it off next weeks pocket money, and you could see their little minds working overtime 😂. But they accepted the premise, and mostly decided to just get what they usually get. 😂

@@Shofixi Because they are not applying their brains to see that we will never build any solution to carbon emissions that way. Net Zero carbon emission is an impossible and unwanted goal. Because when you start moving to costlier forms of energy the most unfortunate 1 Billion people in the world are more affected. They will die due to removed access to cheap energy. These poor are not interested in Carbon emissions because they are occupied by the need to survive. Also see what has happened in Germany when they shut down all their nuclear plants. They became heavily dependant on Russian gas. And now? They are burning more dirty lignite coal than rest of Europe. Advocacy without a brain is Idiocy. Trying to reduce carbon emissions is really not a political topic. It should be a scientific topic with momentum gained by getting the young work with more energy based engineering. So these virtue signalling idiots want to make a change, shut up and go to your education institutions and work for new solutions.

I actually had to call 911 the other day cuz a guy was OD'ing on the sidewalk. Craziest part is, I live in a town of only a few thousand people!!! needles everywhere, broken glass everywhere, my yard is constantly being broken into, businesses shutting down cuz they can't handle the homeless. It's so bad, even 7 Eleven said fuck it and closed shop. It's THAT insane.

If either of these two situations happen, that means your neighborhood is about to get turned upside down (if it hasn't already) and it's time to get the fuck out. Damn!

@CassandraV-kl4hq

@@johnhill7058I’m so confused by this comment. Are we teaching our children to be weak minded and not make decisions on their own? I’m confused here. Are we not supposed to raise our children to make decisions on their own wild guiding them and teaching them to be independent free thinkers? Are we supposed to raise weak children who can’t make a decision to wipe their own as$es? Chances are forcing a kid to go to a school they don’t want to go to they’ll probably resent you and not do so great. Our children need to be raised to make good decisions, be a leader, not a follower, while being respectful, and not a menus to society. If you raise them right and how to problem solve chances are, they’ll make educated choices. You’re sending a horrible message if you’re saying, I’m your parent, you’re going to college where I say and that’s, that. Is a recipe for disaster. We already have a big enough problem w kids these days who can’t even think for themselves and go along w these “influencers”, or whatever tiktok says. Being a parent doesn’t mean you make decisions for your kids so they grow up to be weak minded and easily influenced by a clown on the internet doing tiktok dances while telling our children they don’t need their parents. Let them problem solve while guiding them on the right path and I can guarantee they’ll make the right one. Are you going to tell your kid not to climb a rock because they’ll get hurt? No, you’re going to let them do it and guide them so they can not only conquer a fear, but do it safely while they figure out what right moves to make to climb that rock, not get hurt and succeed. If you don’t let them climb that rock and just say no, then they’ll never figure out how to be independent problem solvers and how to donut safely. Not only that they won’t ever try to do something hard, because they don’t know how to do it, or problem solve. Then that weak child grows up to be a weak adult and brings nothing to the table, and needs “safe spaces”.

the issue with that entire line of questioning during that hearing is that there weren't actually calls for genocide going on in the protests at universities. the chants were about liberating Palestine, which many CHOSE to interpret as calls for genocide. Calling for the liberation of one group doesn't equate to calling for genocide of another group... unless someone chooses to assign that interpretation. "intifada" doesn't mean genocide, it's a word that essentially means "resistance". if there weren't oppression and occupation to resist against, there wouldn't be a need for intifada in the first place.

I and most boys carried pocket knives to school. As teenagers, it was common during hunting season to have your deer rifle on a rack in the back window of your truck. There was no school on the first day of hunting season. Teachers broke up fights in school, parents were hardly ever called, much less the cops, and usually the punishment was sitting in the principals office for one period. My high school had a rifle team. We shot bow and arrow in gym class. Girls laughed and giggled when you whistled at them. Holding the door for women, girls, and the elderly was expected as well as the "thank you" you'd get for doing so. Friends would actually have to drive or call on a landline phone to see or talk to one another. Commercials were actually funny and especially toy commercials were over the top. Cartoons didn't have an agenda and a gun with a flag that comes out the barrel that says, "BANG" wasn't considered "violence". Kids would play outside all day and surface only when they were "starving" or at dark. Movies had white and black leads whey great chemistry and zero political or social agenda. "Wokeism" didn't exist and the generation of perpetual babies hadn't been born. I could list a million reasons why then was better than now and that was real America. Rogan might not advertise but I'm being he votes to bring some semblance of that back. And that's not Democrats or Joe Biden.

I always told my kids that boundaries are helpful just like putting a person in the middle of a new room that is completely dark. He will be unsure where he can go until you show him where the walls are. Then there is freedom to move once you know the boundaries.

tip for Jamie and really anyone. Some sites with paywalls, just refresh the page and hit the x as soon as the page starts to load. The site loads the text first in most circumstances and the pay wall comes later as the page loads.

This episode should be streamed (mandatory!) to every parent, every school, and even to those who plan to have a family. What a sad relief it was to have Mr. Rufo and Joe explain what has happened to the country I love but barely recognize anymore. Keep up the fantastic work, Joe. Everyone needs to stop tolerating such nonsense as "gender identity" and keep that sh!t far from our prescious children!

Thank you. Hearing this podcast I feel like someone is standing up to the bullies for me. Hearing this talked about by others in media - I will admit comes off a little tone deaf and hateful and so naturally when I warn people about this strange communist like phenomenon that’s growing I get lumped in with them. Joe and Chris perfectly captures the tone of this perplexing slide of society where the marginalized are now the entitled tyrants with no respect of boundaries but for theirs and do not have to follow any societal rules that the rest of us must still abide by. Thank you so much for giving this air so I feel a little more empowered to be able to speak up on behalf of myself and my kids because I have been terrified and not brave enough to do so dude *AWT22W* is the best thing you said, well done

thats exactly what this conversation is, reinforcing each others opinions. hardly digging into the nitty gritty but making moral grandstands about the way they want society to be, the far left is insane, but so is a large chunk of the right now the difference is the most extreme parts of the left are the minority, actual communists and socialists have very little power despite how these two portray it, but on the right 70% of the party supports a dude who schemed and took multiple actions to stop an election despite being told by nearly all of his appointed officials and multiple court cases that there is no credible evidence of fraud and if its democracy itself vs the goofy cultural shit the far left pushes for plus your standard dems, its an easy choice
