What cool last name he had too! I'm willing to bet he was of Polish heritage and his last name would of been 'Żuber'....which literally means Buffalo. Poland was (still might be...) the only place, in the entirety of Europe, that has some untouchef native/old growth forests which are home to Buffalo (żubers) and wolf (Wilk...which was my bestie's last name. No... ,actually my bestie of besties last name was Hanf...Polish names can be misleading....mine is Deren😂....my name translates to Cornell, a darn plant. So a lot of nature inspired). They also make a vodka by that name, bc they're very happy and proud to be the only ones to have these beasts. Kudos to all the teachers who touch our lives and inspire us for the rest of our lives.

Several years ago I had the pleasure to meet Mr.Tyson. I was his driver when he came to town for 4 different trips. I normally never want to "bother" the celebrities when I have them, but I tried to squeeze out every bit of convo I could while I had him hostage in my vehicle lol. Nothing too deep, but he is genuinely one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He did a sold out show here in town, and as I patiently waited for the security to bring him out of the side alley way entrance afterwards, he came to make sure I was there to get him back to his hotel. There was a bar directly across the street that many had gone to after the show. A few people realized he had just came out of the building and rushed across the street to say hi and ask for pictures. Most celebrity types get in the car head down so fast noone ever sees them, but he stood out there at a late hour after a long show and talked very generously to the small crowd of people. They were all so excited and happy they got to meet him. After about 15 minutes he got into the vehicle again to go back to the hotel. I felt like the lucky one that I had him all to myself to chat a bit more. The next morning I picked him up and drove him to the airport and off he went. Again, just as nice as anyone could possibly be, and a very generous tipper as well. I have met quite a few people far more "famous" than he is, but to me he really stood above them all. Joe Rogan, please get him back on your show soon!!!!!

I'm almost 50 and still learning. Whenever I come across a word I haven't used in a while or ever, I look it up. I look up the etymology, synonyms, and antonyms. History is also a big part of my life. Reading about the past, the people, culture, and events that helped shape the world and how it's rippled through time and impacted today's societies. The biggest thing about our education is the fact of how little we truly are taught about the world. As Neil said, they fail to keep us engaged and curious about wanting to learn.

Unfortunately, I really am dyslexic and the math required for a physics degree stopped me dead in my tracks. We are at the stage of history where we are no longer making history. Let me explain: In the 50s there was radio, in the 60s there was tv, in the 90s there was the personal computer. One thing about the computer is it remembers what you do. All of our history is recorded, to the point that there are no relics, only raw data in silicon. If an alien invasion happened today, there would be no one to tell. Everyone would be aware of the occurrence. Do you see what I mean? Maybe 100 years from now we will look back and see that the famous people now are completely insignificant. The new age is defined by scientism, but we are becoming more spiritual as well, realizing science is its own religion. Science is a trend, a paradigm. We will get over it and finally start respecting the planet.

Around the 12 to 15 minute mark where y’all taking about schooling, I just turned 22 I finished Highschool back in 2020 I hated Highschool I was really bad at it and I didn’t put myself in a good situations right, Im now going to a trade school in Toronto and I’ve never loved schooling more then most things, I wake up and I can’t wait to get to class, it really shows how bad the education system here is in North America I was a low 60s student in high school, the lowest mark I’ve gotten so far is like a 76, I’m going for hvac and gas technician and I’m loving it, the teacher I have bill is his name, what an awesome guy honestly u can hear how much he loves this field of work and it really does inspire me to want to know more, like two days ago I learnt that boiling water doesn’t come from heat that’s just an added to keep the water warm when it does boil, and that pressure is what makes things come to a boil and that it becomes cold not hot, it really turned my views of things upside down and make me thing what else have I been taught my whole life that’s not much is a lie but see it in a different view and see what can happen, I truly wish I could go back to my grade 9 year and actually put myself threw the hard days of Highschool and do good bc I know I would be a 80-90 student now but I’m here and now and I’m gunna do good now

Yeah, Tyson was overjoyed when Sean Davis blew the whistle on his bull shit. /s www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2014/09/27/neil-degrasse-tyson-admits-he-botched-bush-quote/ Neil deGrasse Tyson was pretty much forced to acknowledge his false account of Bush's 9-11 speech. It was getting lots of publicity and it was very obvious he was wrong. However other examples of his wrong history have been brought to attention. And he's done nothing to acknowledge his errors or counter the misinformation he has spread.

I disagree with his points. Finding America is the most important event in recent human history, but not because two separated groups of humans reunited. That's a very romantic way of looking at it. Most natives died and they had little significance in the building of America as we know it, that's just a fact. Their genetic footprint is also very small today. Finding America was important because of the political and economical effects it had in Europe.
