My great grandfather was 93 years old when he died. He fought in WW2, and had worked since 12 years old during the Great Depression to feed his family. He cherished life, and thanked God every meal and prayed 3 times a day, and went to Church twice a week, every week, and when he got sick he would still watch mass on TV. I never heard this man wish for death or even say one bad thing about life. He was thankful for everything he ever had. I knew it was the last time I'd ever see him though when I went to visit him in the nursing home. I noticed his picture of his wife (who died 8 years earlier), and said "that's a nice picture of Nana". He said, "yup, that's my Mary, hopefully I'll be with her soon." When he said that, I knew it wouldn't be long. He had lost his will to live and all he wanted was to be with his wife. I sat in that room long after everyone left just crying, knowing I'd never see him again. And when I left I gave him the biggest hug and told him it was okay and that I understood he had to go. He looked me in the eyes and shed a tear and shook my hand one last time with the biggest smile on his face and said "thank you, I love you." I'll never forget that.

I had a widowmaker heart attack in 2017 at age 39. On the way to the hospital, in the back of the ambulance, I was in terrible pain. Suddenly the pain was gone. I felt free and just like KS’s mom, the feeling of peace and no responsibility were amazing. I remember not being able to hear anything for a few moments, a fact I only noticed because I could see the EMT shouting at me. I could tell by his face that he was yelling. I remember thinking to myself, “What’s this guys effing problem.” Then the pain came rushing back. I was so close, and I no longer worry about dying. Five stents and five years later, I’m still here.

I met an 85 year old man when I worked at the local hospital, while he waited for his wife to finish her doctor's appointment, he told me about the heart attack he had 35 years ago. He called it the same thing, "the widow maker." He unbuttoned the top 4 buttons of his shirt and showed me his heart, a machine, roiling slightly, whirring, and vibrating just beneath the surface of his skin. I swear I could almost hear the mechanical sounds of each series of beats. But the fact that he had his heart attack 35 years ago was beyond comforting to me. He had an extra 35 years to live (and was still going strong!) His wife came out of her appointment and was annoyed that he was talking to me (he said "she thinks I'm flirting") and it was something else to see this man with a mischievous sparkle in his eye be almost escorted out by his demure, but jealous 80 something year old wife. I played along and was like "I hope to see you again!" as he laughed out loud on his way past the sliding glass doors. Idk why I'm telling you this....just seemed to fit...

I asked my father on his death bed what he would have done differently if he could have. He thought for a few seconds and said emphatically almost happily "I would not change a thing". He lived life on his terms. Sometimes I did not get his reasoning but the older I become the more I understand. When we are at peace with the time we are granted then we are at peace when it ends.

I held my Father's hand when he passed. The only thing I can say for sure that I remember feeling besides the immense wall of grief that hits you when you lose a loved one, was his presence in the house and in the garden for about 2 hours afterwards, but then there was a feeling of freedom and release, which made me feel happy again and relieved that he was no longer suffering. He was gone at that moment and I could feel that he wasn't on this plane anymore. My father passed back in July of 2007 after being diagnosed with Motor Neurons Disease two years prior, and so when it was his time, although he was only 64, it definitely felt like a relief, however it doesn't make things any easier. It's my belief that his "Motor Neurons Disease" was actually a form of brain damage from long time exposure to asphyxiation caused by toxic chemicals in the air that they pump into that cabin of commercial aircraft. He flew for many years on the DC10 for Dan-Air, Lockheed Martin Tri Star for Gulf Air, and Boeing 747-400 for Singapore Airlines, and I was lucky enough to have lived in Bahrain and Singapore growing up, so had a rich and culture filled youth as a result of his amazing career. However I believe he would still be here today if not for being poisoned by his employers, and that my family and I deserve compensation from McDonald Douglas (Dan-Air) Lockheed Martin (Gulf Air) & Boeing (Singapore Airlines) which of course we will never see. Watch the movie called "A Dark Reflection" with Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi for ST TNG) it's all true and it's one of the biggest conspiracies of the modern aviation age. R.I.P Capt Iain Stuart Baldie I love you Dad x
@dommidavros22112 жыл бұрын
Sorry to go off topic but do airlines still pump poisonous chemicals into the cabins? I always thought Motor Neurones was either just really bad luck or caused by long term head trauma (like boxing or heading a football too many times). Should we be avoiding planes now as well??

Do you think the cardiologists own the gyms in your town? What I mean by this is, it's possible!
@jsquared1013 Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry that your dad passed away early, but you need to ditch the speculative nonsense. Airlines don't "pump toxic chemicals into the cabin" of any aircraft. They in fact take specific measures to *PREVENT* that, since killing their employees and customers is kind of a downer for the longevity of a company. Aircraft have multiple systems to maintain a safe environment in the cabin, and the air quality of the cabin is easily measurable and verifiable.
@D0wNF4LLofficial Жыл бұрын
@@jsquared1013 I wasn't saying they deliberately pumped toxic chemicals into the cabin., but the air on certain aircraft, if breathed for long periods of time can be toxic for a person, whether the manufacturers of those aircraft or the airlines themselves knew or not, the fact remains, and if you do your research you'll find what my father suffered from to be quite common amongst pilots that have had a long career in commercial aviation. Newer aircraft such as the Airbus A320 Neo however have a different air scrubbing system, where it won't have an effect on pilots that fly those A/C long term, so perhaps it will only have been my father's generation that are widely effected by it. Its not speculative, as families that could prove it through autopsies have been paid compensation, so it's quite factual actually.
@D0wNF4LLofficial Жыл бұрын
@@dommidavros2211 I'm not saying they purposely pumped poisonous chemicals into the cabins of certain aircraft, but the way the air was brought into the cabin (on certain a/c) was through the engines themselves and so you are being exposed to toxicity over a long period of high exposure. It's like sucking on your car exhaust for a second every day for a 30 year career.

I’d agree with Joe, If I didn’t witness NDE related experiences thousands of times during my 10+ years as a hospice nurse at the bedside with my patients as they go through the dying process and dying. Nearly every person I’ve been with no matter race, religion, sex spends the last few weeks of their lives speaking to dead relatives, some recognized, some not. Countless times I’ve witnessed people talking to relatives who they didn’t even know had passed away, as family didn’t tell them while on hospice. Countless times. They never see their living relatives across the country. Often times people can tell you what happened in the hospital room while they were clinically dead as well prior to resuscitation. After so many years of this phenomenon there’s just no other scientific explanation.

All of us know what its like to not exist, because we've all be unborn. There was no pain, no thought, no nothing, and yet the world still existed. We've gone from nothing to a living organism which grows into a body and becomes conscious. What i do know is that the feeling must be extremely painful to the point that you DIE from it. And if the next life's better then this why would your loved ones be waiting for you? wouldnt they be going through other obstacles if their are any? or maybe so busy enjoying themselfs that they dont have time for you? or maybe they're in a state where you cant reach, kinda like the living and the dead of our reality.

The nothingness. And the point you make of extremely painful, well people die in their sleep, they shut off whilst being unaware. No pain. People can slip away without pain. There is a video on KZbin by a guy who has analysed those at the end of their life, check it out, they always see their loved ones coming for them. Everything was A-OK in the kitchen but we didn't clean pigeon poop off the Colonel Sander's statue so we didn't get an A grade. I remember flying home on a early Sunday morning, because my dad had called on a Saturday night saying she only has a week left, because of cancer. She could barely talk, she was so weak. All she said on the Wednesday was, "I'm afraid...I'm so afraid!" So I said, "what are you afraid of?" She said, "of dying"! On Thursday, all she could say was, "I'm ready....I'm ready!" She was ready. She had made peace! Like she accepted her fate! By Friday night.....she passed! At her funeral, all I could muster was, "I'll see you one day!"

My best friends dad died in the hospital for a minute. When he came back and became aware of what happened he broke down in tears right there in the hospital bed. Everyone thought he was just scared but he later opened up and admitted he was crying because he wanted to go back and that it was blissful compared to real life. He was a pretty happy guy and he loved life, which makes it all the more interesting that what comes after death feels so orgasmic compared to anything this world offers

Drowned in a Tahoe swimming pool back in 1965. My brother got me to go off the slide into the deep end 7 times. I was a poor swimmer. The eighth time, I couldn't make it back to the side of the pool. My arms and legs felt like lead. I couldn't dogpaddle anymore. Couldn't keep my head above water. Took my first breath of water. It hurt. I took a second breath of water, and that didn't hurt as much. I sank down a foot or two, and watched the lights dance on the surface. People's laughter and chatter echoed away into a deep hum. Tunnel vision took my view of the lights, and my arms and legs finally stopped burning. It was very peaceful. I was floating high above rolling green hills. Kids ran around a castle. Creampuff clouds overhead. Soft breezes. Bouncy brass band music played. I was going to live there. It was wonderful. Next thing I knew, I was puking water up by the side of the pool. The stupid Doris Day lookalike lifeguard had pulled me out and got me breathing again. I was furious at her, because I wanted to go back to the castle, play and explore. 58 years later, I have symptoms of a terminal illness. No official diagnosis yet, but there's not much else it could be. There's no cure, and the treatments only prolong the suffering. I look forward to going back, and playing in the castle.

All my life I've been hearing the story from my dad about when he fell head first through some ice down by the river and saw flashy lights like a tunnel and saw his life flash before his eyes then he saw what described as a council of hooded figures who told him its not your time to go back then he came back hanging on to the ladder and pulling himself out near the docks he was at as if something guided his hand to it. My grandfather on my moms side had bone cancer and was in severe pain and died at home in his bed. They gave him morphine for the pain but he said he was seeing his father waiting for him to take him with. The night he died we were reminiscing about him, my brother and I while staying with my grandmother to keep her company. At one point my brother said I wonder what he is doing right now and my grandmother said he is probably on his journey and all of a sudden the little train stand they had on their TV which didn't work prior to his death because I remember pushing the button and my grandfather told me it didn't work anymore started going off...Choo Choo going around its track. Then another time after my uncles funeral we drove my dad's mom home and she told me that when my grandfather had a heart attack when we were younger he saw st Peter at the pearly gate and he told him it wasn't his time to go back. Later probably about 2016 he had a stroke and some other things go wrong and wound up in the hospital my dad said when he went to visit the first thing he said to my dad when he entered the room was I had a dream I was on a fishing boat with Jesus and when he snapped his fingers all the fish jumped into the boat. He told my dad that he laughed hysterically at it. He finally died a few years after that sitting in a hospital bed and he appeared in good health as the nurses were just joking around with him then he turned to them and said well im going to go now and he passed away. I have always believed in life after death because of these experiences and hope they help any others who read this.

@@poproxx8467 Nobody will claim that it is a particularly easy thing to deal with. My best friend passed away at 36 from a heart failure, he had issues for years before so it wasn't from nowhere. And my dad died of cancer last year. I remember visiting my maternal grandmother at hospital shortly before she passed when i was 15. Some deaths are not what we call "fair", others are completely natural given the advanced years of a person. We all know it must end at some point. The natural instincts to survive is most likely if i may guess, something that younger people feel more acutely - having so much time left. Dealing with the question of death now and then probably serves a person some good, we prefer to live our lives as if death didn't exist for ourselves - it just happens to others. And we go on doing all kinds of nonsense or stupidities in life. And doing those things to others, arguing and yelling over matters that don't really matter even a week later. I started to read books at a very early age, always keen to learn as much as i could about all kinds of topics. Eventually you run into people like Plato and Aristotle - and more obscure people in modern age like Terence Mckenna. They all deal with these questions in ways that are really comforting. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGisl6yZqcdoeqs

Beware of near death experiences where the person is Not a Believer in The Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and comes back with reports of calming bright light and such. And tells how everything is fine and we are all wonderfully conected. No one is going to Heaven and coming back with stories like that. The devil is an angel of light. A liar and the father of lies. If you have not placed your Faith in Jesus Christ then your default destination is Hell. Eternal separation from God. How do you make absolutely Certain that you are going to Heaven? You admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior and BELIEVE on Jesus! Place your faith in Him! God's Eternal Salvation is a Free Gift! Jesus Christ, God's Only begotten Son, the 2nd Member of the Triune Godhead, laid down His Glory, took on human flesh, was born of a virgin, and lived the sinless Perfect Life you nor I ever could, Qualified to be our substitute, and laid down His Life on the Cross! He shed His Precious Blood and Paid in FULL for All your sins, past, present, and future, and rose again the 3rd day exactly as He said He would! John 3:16 is the Heartbeat of The Bible! You can do nothing to deserve or earn or keep your Salvation! It is a Gift! For You it is Free. It cost God Everything! Do you know what Sin is? It is an archery term. It means to miss the exact bullseye. God's Perfect Righteousness! God says there is no one righteous, not even one. So how do you stand blameless before God and spend eternity with Jesus in Heaven? You must be the Righteousness of God! THAT is what Jesus Freely gives you the instant you place your faith in Him! You just come as you are! Pray to Jesus now! Accept Him as your Savior! I agree 100% I had an NDE in 2011...almost 6 minutes... I have no fear of physical death either. There is no death. You just get to take off this very heavy meatsuit we have to wear in this current form.

I can't comprehend eternal nothingness and that death can be so sudden and you wouldn't even know. It trips me out every time.

eternal nothingness was before you were born then you came into existence which seems impossible all this shit around us is impossible. Our own brain out of everything in this world is the most impossible thing to understand and yet it has such a simple end? idk

My Dad once told me "death is just a part of life and it's something we'll all experience, yet not many of us want to accept it. Being afraid of death is not living, while using death as an excuse for not living is not really accepting death." Looking back now, I understand what he was trying to teach me.

Those are some wise ass words. You should never worry too much about the future, because then you end up living in the anxieties of the unknown and not savoring every last drop of the present moment.

Thank you Kevin ❤️ From a very young age I’ve loved Jay and Silent Bob films, well most of them. Your experience with dying and your mothers experience have really benefited me with the fear of my own death. I really appreciate you man. Thanks Joe for having him on and loving him ✌️ ❤️
