"I realized I was a flawed person. I realized I was f*king up and being an idiot. And I realized was flawed. I also failed at comedy. One of the hardest things to do is to go from sucking at something to being great at something. But I knew I had potential. Then I went down the road to martial arts from being a comedian, started to relax more, and really started to find success."

I got married at age 44 that was almost one year ago and I am finally realizing dreams that I’ve had my whole life from getting on stage for the first time in 30 years to do stand up to starting my own business all because of that spark that fire of love that I hadn’t felt in so long she’s amazing and I hope I can do even a fraction of what she does for me -for her

It sheds a light on the fact that you can’t always have life in the palm of your hand. You guys are really capitalizing on the failure and the urge to give up but the commitment to keep moving forward. Y’all are seriously helping others more than u could ever imagine. I pray for all of you and all of your past situations, current situations, and future one too. Keep moving forward. Thank you.

Man hearing him speak about not being afraid to fail hits. I quit my job in Houston, packed up my wife and son and moved to Montana for a better life. Fast forward a year and I’ve failed on every level. Every home we offered on fell through, the job didn’t pay what they had initially advertised, we’re living in a 900 sqft shack that was built in 1900. Everything possible has gone wrong. I lost about 30k dollars in this move. We’re packing up next month and moving back to Houston. I have to face everyone that I left with that failure on my shoulders. But to be honest it motivated me to go back to my old job and bust my ass and move up. Now I know there’s not another option out there at my fingertips. Now I know I have to grind to make the most of my original job. I needed this

At least you had the balls to do what you did. Don't worry about those people judging you when you go back there, because deep down they probably envy you, because you took the risk. I've seen so many people complain and say they were going to do something and they don't, but you took the risk. I've been successful and not successful and had money and been broke. The ups and downs are part of life. The worst was when I lost my marriage and I had to pay child support for 16 years, but I got through it and you will get through it too and you will become more successful.

Suffering a bit with others is good too. "Remember two-a-days in august when it was miserable and we all hated each other? That was awesome" - my old football buddies "Remember when we were paycheck to paycheck and we almost got evicted and i told my boss to shove it and walked out? Man that sucked but it was kinda awesome" - my wife and I surviving on literal pennies. Life can suck. It can literally beat you into the earth and leave you there. But if you can survive together, things eventually dont suck and you can look back and find the roses in those pictures. They arent always obvious. I've seen lots of my friends and family at their absolute lowest and its strangely beautiful in retrospect to see someone grit it out. To anyone who needs this in 2022 or in the future, keep your head up, dont lie to yourself, and find someone willing to be in the trenches with you.

At 11 at night with the ability of others to see it and us not see them or know it.... that maybe we needed some time apart. I had said I don't think we need time apart, in the end he chose to get up say the words ok and literally got up and walked out my the door....to not speak or contact me for almost 9 years...and did that only cause he was locked back up AGAIN, in Huntsville County Texas prison. One of his most impactful statements in my humble opinion was about the people who always say “I can’t catch break and getting away from them.” The reasoning was beautiful and while it’s a simple thing to do, that video hit me like a ton of bricks. I quit trying to help those people because it never worked because they didn’t want to help themselves, as soon as I cut those people out of my life it was a major weight removed and the improvement to my feelings and well being drastically improved. I suggest anyone who hasn’t watched it please so and if you have watched it, go back once in awhile and watch it again to keep it fresh in your mind.

Failures are lessons. All so true. He said his school education was a joke but he has done so much to remedy that. He has given himself a great education in the school of life. I would love Joe Rogan's next hard thing to be becoming scientifically literate. He is more than capable of achieving this goal. He could significantly shift the dial on the level of scientific literacy that exists in the podcast world today and the world in general.

many haters of rogans podcast dont see that his podcasts dont just entertain, they inspire and motivate. the analysis of peoples lives and how he applies it to everything gives so much knowledge and a way to view things. hes just so driven on anything he does, and though he does have flaws like us all, hes very self aware and humble. thank you Joe for inspiring me to start working out, take jiu jitsu classes, and just trying new experiences against the current of anxiety and fear.

Recently got divorced and this resonated with me on a molecular scale, I ruined my marriage by distracting myself from the problems of my own by deep diving into things that didnt matter. I neglected the responsibility of being a parent and a husband, and now that I've lost her, I finally feel a sense of clarity within myself. I have started to do the things i always made excuses not to do, I know this is a youtube comment section but i still have yet to come to terms with ending of my marriage. I have grown and am not satisfied with where i am.

Thanks Joe I follow you. And love what you always have to share. I was a wrestler and a wrestling coach and trained my brother to four state titles in the state of Oregon also trained less catches to a world championship. Through High School. My son's wrestling team won four state titles in a row and was the number one in the nation. I'm 2000 miles away from my home state. I was a black water diver and plan to go overseas and free dive. There's a lot to my story but I know you have been through a lot yourself. I just wanted to say that I admire your courage and your strength and thank you for all you have to share.
