The most brutal knockout I have ever seen in my life. Tommy ( The Duke ) Morrison vs Ray Mercer. Round 5 in the corner. Tommy looked like he was gassed and was trying to catch his breath. Ray saw his opening and knowing that Tommy was in the corner and couldn't go anywhere, Ray unleashed on Tommy. If I remember correctly, Ray hit Tommy at least 7 good times after Tommy was knocked out. Ray tried to kill Tommy and nobody can tell me any different. Ray knew he was out and when Tommy bounced off the ropes, Ray used that to his advantage. Then after the fight he blamed the ref for not stopping the fight. He said in his own works, someone could have gotten killed right there. But yes, Mike Tyson was a beast. I wonder how hard he could really hit. Could he have challenged the person that I truly believe was the hardest hitting boxer and that being, Big George Forman. Formans power I really believe was untouchable. The list of knockout artist on my list. And not in any specific order. 1. Big George Forman 2. Rocky Marciano 3. Max Bear 4. Mike Tyson 5. BOTH Klitschko Brothers 6. Lennox Lewis 7. Joe Luis 8. God I know this might be funny and someone will say no way, but i have to put him on this list. Butter Bean. 9. Ernie Shavers 10. Ron Lyle. These are some of the hardest hitting people i have ever seen. Some i have seen in person and others on old videos. Each one of these guys was a master of putting people to sleep.

@@jasonwebb1882 how the hell can you not say Wilder? Yes he can’t box but it’s actually been proven he hits harder then any boxer in history, including Foreman/Shavers and Mike…..it’s been proven by every sports expert and computer analysis that he hits harder. When he beat Stivenre the second time…..Iv never seen a boxer slumped out on the ropes (looking dead) like that.

A good man? And, " so called " flaws?? Really? " So called " ???? NO. He was a criminal, drug runner for gangsters, a thief who broke into houses robbing people and beating them to a pulp if they got in his way...and he mugged people on the street and was in prison 22 times by the age of 16. As an adult he did cocaine like crazy for years and years, threatened people regularly, lied publicly on air in interviews over and over and said he often, " violated " women. You know the four letter word for, " violated " that he was talking about right? I'll give you a hint, it begins with an, " r ". So he's such a good guy huh? Wake up.

I remember in one of Mike Tyson’s post boxing career interviews. He said that he was a very angry young man. Angry at his dad, angry with his circumstances/the neighborhood ghetto, angry with him being bullied by a bigger kid and he couldn’t do anything about it besides take it. He spent many years growing up being a bitter, angry boy, only growing into being a bitter angry man, and get into fights. One day he got discovered by a boxing coach in his neighborhood. Taught him how to be a good boxer. Now iron mike was a much better boxer fighter. And he also turned his anger and rage into weightlifting and of course the punching bag. Now, when he got in the ring with another boxer, Mike said, “He went into the ring with murderous intent.” When he went in there, he would place [all] of his bitter memories and place them on the boxer in front of him. Then he went on to throw the punches that he wished he could have placed on the people and the things that made him so angry and bitter.” Then some clips of his knockout punches played. I will never forget those words. And I am so so glad that he is not that way anymore. He has become quite the gentle giant. In modern interviews, he will frequently admit that that angry murderous beast is still inside him. And he never ever wants that part of him to ever come out again. And of course he doesn’t like or tolerate anyone trying to provoke or coerce that out of him.

Well, sort of. Buster Douglas kind of killed that myth. It always bothers me, when athletes who clearly don't know better, make huge mistakes because they think they're smarter than they are, and get taken by managers and promoters. If Mike only had the sense to get and keep a good manager, perhaps he could have been considered up there with Marciano. Instead, he got knocked out, and then we had the ear fiasco with Holyfield. What a shame. At least he's okay, and doesn't appear to have any long term brain damage, as of yet, anyway.
