@@TheFrogballzDude. At this moment... you have 8 percent the intellect of a 12yr old and times 6 the arrogance.... See what I did there? It comes off and seems to me to be obnoxious, moronic, and whiny coping biase to have an opinion like this down to the number about something that's impossible to even VAGUELY calculate. Like even if my opinion was or is that Tyson beat a Larry that was a lesser fighter than he was before... Even then..that thought ends right there as even those fighters themselves couldn't calculate HOW much they've lessened down to that kinda degree nor even would they KNOW if whether or not they'd beat the other EITHER WAY..in prime or not.. It also just slightly crazy to me that someone could down play the fight THAT MUCH SO... We can't know how much of himself he was but it's pretty likely that 10% is wrong just on chance alone even. You could come close I feel to being definitively right about him being lesser but by how much is what we can't do or know. Nor can we know if it would've mattered. Fight calculating is hardly ever accurate, just cause you feel or even know the most likely outcome doesn't ensure anything even remotely especially in the fight game. Can't know your opponent as well as yourself and from the outside looking in like us with the fighters, we don't know or have a strong connection to/thorough look at anyone we don't train with ourselves.

L Holmes was an unbelievable talent and could beat any heavy in his prime. He was a serious fcuking boxer.
@scottobrien88146 ай бұрын
The first Michael Spinks fight was close but Holmes should have got the decision. The second one was a total robbery. Holmes was retired for 2 or 3 years. One night at midnight out of the blue, Don King knocked on Larry’s door and offered him 3.5 million to fight Tyson. He had no tuneup fight and 6 weeks to train. Holmes came back and fought up into his early 50s. He beat Ray Mercer at 41 years old. He gave Holyfield a hell of a tough, close fight, way more competitive than Tyson’s 2 losses to Holyfield were. He fought Oliver McCall for the WBC belt and lost a close, narrow decision. Tyson was completely washed up at 40.
@kingkenny27976 ай бұрын
@@scottobrien8814 Holmes was also seen asking the ref to stop the Ali fight. He gets a bad wrap tbf. He has made some comments where it provokes people but that should not take away from him as a boxer. He was top class. Saying that, Does anyone beat Tyson in his prime. For me maybe Ali is the only one that could do it. I'm talking Tyson when he was the meanist moths fuckka on the planet. He was a beast, however maybe Ali was the matador. We'll never know I guess.

I think Holmes was as good as Ali and in their primes, maybe they both could beat Tyson, maybe not. I like all three but Larry Holmes is one of my all-time favorites. Great jab to the body and head with that right hand a split second behind it. Got up after being knocked down by Earnie Shavers! That was like Fury getting up after being floored by Wilder. It's too bad Foreman never fought him. Holmes was practically begging for that fight to me made when they were both in their 40s.@@kingkenny2797

I agree when you say that Mike was definitely in his prime and Larry was not. Larry was a great fighter! His reign as Heavyweight Champion was second only to Joe Louis. Larry had been on a downward slide since 1983. He struggled against Witherspoon, Williams, Spinks I, Spinks II, and Bey should have been easier. The earliest of these fights was 1983. Mike fought Larry five (5) years later. It is not safe to presume the result would have been the same! I ask that you look at the fighters that went the distance with Mike. Tillis, Green, Riddick, Tucker, Smith, and Ribalta. Ribalta was stopped in the 10th round of a 10 round fight. Of the 6 just 2 were Champions.
