Also, prisoners manage to hang themselves in jail cells on a regular basis. This is literally the biggest reason for suicide watch protocols in prisons. Again, I'm not saying he wasn't murdered, I'm just saying the broken hyoid bone doesn't rule out suicide by hanging like everyone seems to believe.
