They are bitching about the royals wealth not realising that Megain's biggest problem with her role as a princess was being forced to work and having to obey the rules set by the Queen on dress standards including spending limits. She has always insisted Royal's on official duties must wear clothing by British designers and have strict limits on how much they can cost which is only reasonable as it promotes British industry and the money comes from the taxpayer for Royal public appearances. Megain insisted on wearing French and Italian designer outfits which cost two or three times what anyone else in the family was spending. Which if she'd paid for them herself would have been a questionable decision but when she's using palace funds was an open slap in the face to the Queen and the British people.

In fact the family owns the whole estate but the particular Royal is given the income while they are in the position that owns it: Harry was the Duke of Sussex. Upon abdication he lost all income from that property. The Madison Trust said in an article that: British Royal Family own more than 6,600,000,000 acres of land around the world. They technically own many territories around the globe, amounting to 1/6 of the surface of the planet.
