unlike some guitarists with egos, the fact that Satch doesn't mind sitting down just to make the music perfect make me admire this guy even more

Joe once said in an interview about this song, never write a solo sitting down, because you may not be able play it standing up. That's why he is sitting on a stool for it. Wise advice from a master.

Greatest solo I've heard in a long time. Not only is it insanely fast, but unlike other shredders and non-shredders' solos who just go for speed, it has great melody and sound!

amazing. I always wanted to see a live performance of this song and always wondered why they never did it live. This is the only instance I've seen Satch have to sit in an almost classical guitar position to tackle a solo. He played it pretty much note-for-note as it is on the album. KILLER song. thanks for posting.

This was always my favorite song on the album. The simplicity of the main riff followed by the unbelievable, textual, liquid solo always blew my mind. Seeing it just confirms my belief!

Surely the best live version I've ever listened to of Crushing day. Ironically it sounds so much better, the solo line so much sharper and not fuzzy and digressing, as the live versions I own on G3 live albums...:-( This live supporting band is amazing, I hope he invites them again.
