Belter of an interview and thanks for going back over some of the older stuff. One of my favourite Joe albums is Time Machine, both the experimental studio tracks and the live album. I've seen Joe every time he has come to Scotland but never heard him play a track from the studio disc.

The Joe Satriani album may have had its birth pains, but it's one of his greatest. The backing band is phenomenal. Great interview!

Where is the “Greatest musical contribution to a genre”. ....and well as the “most significant contribution to a genre”.....and then,.....the “most significant contribution to a genre that never actually existed”.....and the .....”most real human characterization of an idolized guitarist”....and .....”most self generated career of the previous century”......and the “most unique instrumentalist”.......and only a small yet abundant handful of lesser known categories.....that Joe deserves. I play guitar cuz of this guy.....I struggle to do well but I keep learning cuz of what I’ve felt from this man’s art. there are few artists or people that I would consider worthy of mention in my eulogy. Thanks Joe. Be happy and be well.
