Such as classic performance at that Guitar Festival. I remember the whole thing being televised at the time in the UK. Lots of guitarists of all styles. I stayed up to watch it and it was my first introduction to Joe Satriani. Needless to say, I was impressed.

I believe that's the late Cozy Powell on drums and the legendary Nathan East on bass. Jeff Campitelli did play drums on this album but he is not the drummer in this video. The Bpm's seem to exceed 190 on this at times but it varies wildly.

Hey guys, Check out the songs Satch Boogie or Circles from the live show “Satriani Live” It has the insanely talented Jeff Campatelli on drums (who was in a band at 16 opening for the Tubes in SF at the Cow Palace). Joe met Jeff at a SF nightclub when Jeff was in High School & Joe in his early 20s They both were music teachers who worked with famous guitarist & drummers Anyway good stuff. Thanks for bringing this to the masses.

Again I stress to you that Joe Satriani taught Steve Vai how to play guitar, and in fact Joe also taught the lead guitarist in Metallica how to play. Joe is a master guitarist who has taught professionally and performed professionally since the early 1980’s. He’s a living legend 🤩👏🇦🇺👍👑
