Starting off with a very animated Joe chatting with the guests Ann Jillian and Dick Clark and a nice performance of "Life In The Fast Lane" playing with Jack Mack and The Heart Attack .......Does anybody know the name of the host?

Phenomenal what a showman Joe Walsh really is, so many musicians let their addictions mess up their performances, but Joe never let his fans suffer. Even when he is obviously messed up and drunk out of his mind, he brought a hell of a show. I respect that, this man is one of the all time greats.

+Nick Winand totally agree. He's the type of musician that plays for the sake of playing. You can tell that's his passion and that's what he loves doing/makes him happy. He's the type of guy that will pay money so he will be able to play.

+Angel Deville He broke Stevie Nicks heart...and I few others I hear. She said she never loved anyone like him, and she'd take him back if he showed up on her doorstep tomorrow. Maybe it wasn't just his nose that was big :P

Mox_au That was DON HENLEY, not Joe Walsh that had a relationship with Stevie Nicks.
@blackie75
@blackie75 8 жыл бұрын
+Angel Deville No it was Joe Walsh...she had a relationship with both of them. But Henley was never mentioned after the fact. She said Joe used to phone her and say he was coming into town, and she'd kick everyone out of her house and clean up and he'd never show up, and things like that haha. They both smashed coke by the kilo as well, so they had a mutual addiction I guess.
@KarmicOmen

Mox_au Hmm, I guess I wasn't aware she was involved with Joe Walsh, or I forgot. WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED? Stevie Nicks could never limit herself to JUST ONE band member. She was with two members of Fleetwood Mac, also... while still in the band with them, creating a rather awkward situation I would imagine. Sorry, I know that was kind of catty, but hey ... the truth is the truth.

So many people criticize him but couldn't construct a career or amass a fortune like he has if they lived 10 more lifetimes PLUS people love him. He's been sober for over 20 years and still relevant. GO JOE!

Joe never needed the Eagles, he already had a career built before, during and after the Eagles. This artist is the most talented and he never bragged about it. I think he was not ambitious and very generous with his colleagues. He enjoys his art and as a sign observe the duo he does in hotel california, he is just enjoying there. Pure gold always and always undervalued. The public knows its value and is always recognized

That's one thing I always admired about Joe: Even at the rock bottom, when it came to playing, the guy ALWAYS brought it. I saw him in this era at the Miami Metrozoo. He literally could barely walk when he got on stage, introduced his first song as something like "WaaazuuuufrumpMuhammmmauh! HeeezahJameeeezGangguhsongzaataaaatzaahknowzzzzyaaagonnnnamember! Wuzz! Taah! Fuhree!" And then just SHREDDED a note-perfect Funk 49. God bless this guy.

LeftCoastGator There was a time when I couldn't imagine playing on stage and not being loaded. Today in that condition I wouldn't be able to hit the ground with my hat. Yet I've heard and seen me in those days and I could always turn it on at least for that hour or so. It's strange. Someone should seriously study this phenomenon. It's inexplicable to me.

He is an old school hero. Wake him up, pull him from the bar in a half coma unable to speak or walk. Strap a guitar on him and push him out onto the stage. As soon as he hears that first note or drum beat, he shifts into another dimension of his being, he snaps into "Music Mode" and starts playing the socks off everyone present. What a guy, what a guy.. Though we are glad to hear he is sober these days. It would have been awfully sad to see him go much too young like quite a few of his friends.

He's always been one of my favorites. A lot of times, when a musician is such a character like Joe is, people tend to see the crazy guy and forget about the music, but his solo stuff and stuff with Barnstorm was really underrated. I saw an interview where he was talking about his sobriety and said that when he became sober, he was afraid he wouldn't be funny anymore, which I thought was ironic, since his recurring character, Ed, was one of the highlights of the Drew Carey Show.
