You were commenting on the water rapids how they bring a sense of serenity to your wellbeing. I think for me hearing the birds talking or singing does that to me as well. What a beautiful location during the spring months. Really it is peaceful most of the time that you share your slow down adventures here. I am not much of a winter guy. But spring and summer seem to be the idea times to be there. Most of the lakes that I am familiar with around here have more houses/lodges than you do.

What fun to watch this! I loved the winter cabin tshirt design. Absolutely great. I've said before, this reminds me of when I was about 12 and had my grandfather do stuff with me at a small farm in Somerset, Ohio. At night we'd build a fire and sit and just listen to the sounds as we talked. We had a stand up black and white tv with tubes. It took a few seconds to warm up and we got in three channels. On Sunday morning they had cartoons and then a few movies in the afternoon. Lawrence Welk at night. Dragnet. He loved those shows. Those awesome sounds when you were sitting outside made me think of that. I hope Melissa is feeling better because for some reason a lot of people around here are complaining of a stomach like flu and they said they are literally drained of all energy that lasts about 4 days.

Joe, after all the years I have watched your channel, I do not see any other cabins on the lake. Are you the only one? It is always good when I see you are at the cabin. Loved seeing your dad again! Blessings.

There are a few. My parents cabin is on the lake as well as their old cabin (you can do a video search on this channel for a video called "Log Cabin" that cabin is the folks old cabin). There is a very old cabin that was built by the CCC back in the 30's that is on the lake. Georges cabin on the other side of the lake is high up on the hill along with a couple more cabins. You do not see those because they are back from the lake a ways. Otherwise all the other property surrounding the lake is the Superior National Forest so no other land can be bought and no other cabins built.

I have been watching Joe work his tail off to make a living, raise a fine family, maintain and improve his tent property, remodel a house in Louisiana, manage his farm and bring us these awesome videos for years and never miss a single one. Each time I go the same stuff needs to be done. The weather may change but other than that we have fishing in the spring and summer, bugs and then 4 months later fall weather starts and we have no bugs and hunting season comes. Its the Tent.

The shirts are really nice! The last few years we've had a small handful of a type of water bird that's black with a small speck of white on the wings. We have an abundance of Canadian Geese. Glad it's cooler for you. We went from 40-50's plunged into 80-90's with lows in 60's. Next week near Wed. nights could get as low as 45. Crazy weather.

Joe, you’ve had such a busy spring. I’ve been watching all the progress right along. I can’t imagine how much you were looking forward to just pulling into the tent driveway, I have a cabin very similiar to yours…it’s not a tent but it’s rustic and has no electricity and is also right on the lake. The Tent videos remind us so much of our own place. Thanks for bringing us along. We are opening up our cabin this weekend…leaving Saturday and we can’t wait! Hope all goes well for you Dad. Watched all the deer camp videos….hope you can put some venison in the freezer this year. The wolves are like coyotes and they all suck! Take care!
