@cuoy13 but it's still bad parenting. Imagine being so over driving from the OC to LA, you let some stranger you barely know take your son to auditions and let him sleep over the guy's house.

@@cuoy13 just my feeling, I feel the same way with them parents who let their kids run around with R. Kelly. He may not have had criminal doings, but the fact he had that portrait and was penpals with John Wayne Gacy is a HUGE 🚩. Again, she let her hatred for Drake’s dad blind her. Like you mentioned, his dad warned her. She didn’t stop to think that her child’s father who got him in the business might have peeped something strange with the guy? Either way, morally, his mother is 100% at fault in my opinion

The question is did the father tell her exactly why? Or did he just say keep him away from our son and not explain why? He never said he told her he thought Brian was a pedo which i thought was weird. Either way everyone is to blame in my eyes except Drake’s GF’s Mom who noticed right away. The dad is partly to blame for just transferring all his power to the mom and staying back because “he wanted to do what his kid son wanted”. He wasn’t forced to by any law. The mom of course is to blame for not keeping a closer eye on Drake and letting her son live with some guy she didn’t know like that. Whoever that mom was that noticed right away I hope Drake still keeps in touch with her

Another reason why a visible FATHER is so important for children. Predators know exactly what type of children to go after. It’s no coincidence that so many of these child victims only had their mom around or if the dad was actively around there were concentrated efforts to remove the dad from the picture. Whatever is going on between parents its extremely important for the dad to show his face and be present, whether its PTA meetings, parent teacher conferences, sports games n practices etc. The dad should be Introduced to every adult that will be interacting with your child. Coaches, teachers, babysitters, tutors and friends parents and siblings of friends. And the mom’s of these children that make it hard for the dad to be active in their kids lives or try to turn teachers or other people against the dad need to realize they’re putting their child in harms way and making them easy targets

This is why fathers are important. The combustible relationship between mother and father made the mother neglectful and not take what Drake’s father told her about leaving Drake alone with Brian Peck, but if the roles were reversed, I can guarantee you if she had told the father to be careful with Brian he would’ve paid even more attention, whether he believed her or not. The logical mind for men doesn’t calculate feelings, it calculates facts. The fact that he told her to watch out should’ve raised her alertness, but her emotions against the father made her ignore his warning.

Dan schneider was the person who enabled the treatment and let it happen willingly but the institution of hollywood as a whole is responsible for what happened to alot of those kids. Dan schneider is the creator of the shows but theres plenty of producers, executive producers, CEO's etc. that couldve kept a closer eye and didnt. As far as we know dan schneider never molested any kids but the people around him felt like they could do it with no repercussions

Amanda bynes has tweeted on her burner about how she was forced to have two abortions from someone who was a “father figure” to her so think that comment you made real through and do your research on Jamie Lynn as well her “bf” wasn’t with her at all by that time they broke up and he was in another country they paid him off to publicly say they are tg

What about Kenan and Kel?

The child assault & Dan Schneider becoming a transparent jerk, happens more around 2000/03.. Keenan & Kel were on All That before that & their show 'Keenan & Kel' had a different showrunner, so they weren't around Dan or the predators, much. Now actors on the show 'Cousin Skeeter' apparently dealt w some creepers. I'm curious if Megan Good has any stories..

People forgot that parents used to love the hidden dirty jokes, it was a different time. it was known that these are for the parents watching with the kids and the jokes go over the kids heads.

there is a huge difference between dropping jokes for adults (which shows still do, i nanny and catch stuff all the time in shows like bluey) and using children to portray sexual/fetish-like scenes for the purpose of entertaining adults

Actually, Jaimee Foxworth’s parents were trying to get her a raise. They didn't realize that with Steve Urkel being the new star of the show, the value dynamics had changed. Life lesson is never overplay your hand.

If y’all watched “All That” when Kenan & Kel was on it you say Amanda cause she was the youngest cast member at the time. She was a part of the next generation of the cast that were to “replace” the OG cast once they got older. She an OG in her own right. Remember when Chapelle left that $50 mil on the table and dipped how everyone was saying, “Oh, he went crazy.”…SMH, easy to call someone “crazy” when you don’t know the full story.

And it’s so crazy because I vividly remember watching all that as a kid and I completely forgot about that creepy ass Pickle Boy bid. Looking back now that shit is too crazy that this was a whole joke and this man was just a sick fuck behind the scenes it makes me feel like the majority of people knew and it was like a run on joke

Those kids did not deserve it. Karma is a bitch those guys will get what's coming to em, the cream of the crop always rises to the top! I loved all of those shows growing up and it saddens me to learn about there experience bts. That being said we can't erase history. Nobody likes the fact that Hitler killed a bunch of Jews but it happened 🤷‍♂️ I may be wrong but we shouldn't change the shows because of questionable/ uncomfortable scenes. Not that I'm cool with the content we shouldn't erase history. All of those TV shows are a piece of art. They defined the late 90's and 2000's. Can't discredit there impact on society in that time. Idk man it sucks.
