He is absolutely right I was raised by a black single mom that graduated from college to receive a PHD in Psychology ..now what she didn't tell me after she divorced my dad at the age of 6months old for cheating (which she was doing too)..my Uncle who was in service paid the housenote and my Uncle down south made sure she had a running car ..my Dad , Aunties, and cousins took care of birthdays and Christmas..now if you listen to her now at 68 she would have made you think sheer determination and discipline got her to where she is, which she is 25% right but 75% of the truth is never spoken through those lips and dont get twisted ..I love my mom but she is still a part of that female grouping that is totally delusional..so for the women who have actually had to do it yourself with few helping hands and you know that ..I salute you

@11jcarter3 жыл бұрын
I agree but as a black male teacher we are needed but we’re not really wanted of we’re actually talented, articulate and good looking. My presence offends people because the notion “we need black male teachers” makes other groups that their not doing enough in the schools hence why black males teachers leave because we’re not wanted.
@wisdomcounselors3 жыл бұрын
@@11jcarter - so why leave? All black (men and women) are not wanted in education, but you don't leave. My dissertation was on underrepresented faculty in higher education. One thing I argued and continue to fight for is representation for our young adults. They need to see someone who looks like them and can relate to them in front of the class. Our young adults excel more when we teach them. For me, I teach for our community more than for personal gain. To deal with the school toxic environment, I chose to teach college as an adjunct so I could maintain control over my finances. I'm not only an educator; I'm also a business owner. I found not assimilating into the systems worked better for me. I get to do both things I love to do while making a difference. Brotha - keep ya head up and focus on the lives you are impacting.
@11jcarter3 жыл бұрын
@@wisdomcounselors I disagree because I’ve gotten this treatment from black women. We can make great impact in education if we look out for one another but I don’t receive that treatment because most black women I’ve worked with see me as competition instead of trying to work with me. So I’ve been held back in my career because of that, personal choices and just being in the wrong environment but I’ve been at 3 schools and 3/4 principals were black women. I’ve learned not to be so appealing and talented because if you are, the person that’s running the school can be insecure of that. I don’t want to leave but I’m tired of doing all of this work and asking for compensation like K. Samuel said because being able to teach and break up fights scares insecure folk.

He has no idea what Kevin is talking about and this is probably the first time has ever participated in a conversation like this. Even Joe, I think he is wayyy outta touch. When asked do the women with all the makeup and nails get a ring, his response was that he doesn't know or he doesn't look for it. C'mon, these women are not getting married for the most part.

I don't know Julian....I find fault with some of Kevin's methods, however, he(Kevin) did say that most of his target audience was 80% of dudes who were raised by women. I'm not that guy. @@jman4real871 I grew up w/ a Father & Mother as well, and one of the things I learned from my dad was that the message should matter more than how it was delivered. Thank you to the people who have shared this man's videos. I'd never heard of him until about 2 weeks ago, and as I watched the first video, I couldn't stand him! Since then, I've watch quite a few of his videos and feel that he knows what he's talking about. His delivery isn't always my cup of tea, though. He seems to be in attack mode. I wish he were still here.

Major respect to how they all were able to communicate, not always agreeing, but with respect for one another. I’m a 29 year old woman and I must say as my eyes open wider and wider on the topics at hand I know I’ll be married sooner than previously assumed because I now understand my errors. I also see my own mothers extremely toxic ways and her pain in which has resulted in her past and current life. I will no longer take her constant jabs and condescending tone with me personally. Its unfortunate to say but I pray and strive to be 90% opposite of her. No love lost💕

Strongly against your claim You're not stupid You know when you're young at your peak So you spend those times living it up which I don't blame you After you have your fun that's when you want to do which you should've done in the beginning Now Kevin is shinning light to that fact now it'll be hard for you to run that game due to guys seeing things for what it really is Playing victim isn't going to do you any good Now it's your time to reap what you sow

It was really deep when Kevin said how the "living your best life" mindset makes people selfish and not do what's logical and best for themselves and the child.

This is true, the "living your best life" mindset are for those who are single! Once you reproduce, that child(ren) are a priority 🤷🏾♀️, people have to consider that when they decide to lay down with someone.

Well being proud in general is pretty dumb on its own, because people now are proud of how many followers they have, or how many goals they kick or baskets they score. Intelligence is one of the few things people should be proud of, musical talent, technical skill. People should be striving to be intelligent rather than having 3 billion people trying to be Instagram or sports celebrities. Intelligence is way down because everyone is thinking the superstars are only from the purely physical activities.
@therealaintfeelinyouyoufra98063 жыл бұрын
@James Winkler THAT'S called being a fool. The broke and proud are usually broke because they are too proud to do work that they feel is beneath them. They'd rather be broke and proud than to work a job that isn't up to their "standards." Lol
