He is absolutely right I was raised by a black single mom that graduated from college to receive a PHD in Psychology ..now what she didn't tell me after she divorced my dad at the age of 6months old for cheating (which she was doing too)..my Uncle who was in service paid the housenote and my Uncle down south made sure she had a running car ..my Dad , Aunties, and cousins took care of birthdays and Christmas..now if you listen to her now at 68 she would have made you think sheer determination and discipline got her to where she is, which she is 25% right but 75% of the truth is never spoken through those lips and dont get twisted ..I love my mom but she is still a part of that female grouping that is totally delusional..so for the women who have actually had to do it yourself with few helping hands and you know that ..I salute you

We lost a great man. Hope some of our black men step up and walk in his shoes without fear. They use fear, cancel culture, divide and conquer to keep us down. As a black female, I appreciate the honest truth he was giving to us. Let's step back and really try to listen to what this man was tying to tell us, but constantly ridiculed for it. 💞

Um I think this was a human understanding from the pandemic... society moved from farms to industry... most people don’t actually hunts their food regularly anymore soooo Also, the pandemic taught us that we are interdependent on each other ... that one person’s ill is literally everybody else’s. That we need to hold on to each other... but how we turned this into black men vs black women is beyond the realm of self hate. I dunno anymore y’all.

I agree but as a black male teacher we are needed but we’re not really wanted of we’re actually talented, articulate and good looking. My presence offends people because the notion “we need black male teachers” makes other groups that their not doing enough in the schools hence why black males teachers leave because we’re not wanted.
@wisdomcounselors
@wisdomcounselors 3 жыл бұрын
@@11jcarter - so why leave? All black (men and women) are not wanted in education, but you don't leave. My dissertation was on underrepresented faculty in higher education. One thing I argued and continue to fight for is representation for our young adults. They need to see someone who looks like them and can relate to them in front of the class. Our young adults excel more when we teach them. For me, I teach for our community more than for personal gain. To deal with the school toxic environment, I chose to teach college as an adjunct so I could maintain control over my finances. I'm not only an educator; I'm also a business owner. I found not assimilating into the systems worked better for me. I get to do both things I love to do while making a difference. Brotha - keep ya head up and focus on the lives you are impacting.
@11jcarter
@11jcarter 3 жыл бұрын
@@wisdomcounselors I disagree because I’ve gotten this treatment from black women. We can make great impact in education if we look out for one another but I don’t receive that treatment because most black women I’ve worked with see me as competition instead of trying to work with me. So I’ve been held back in my career because of that, personal choices and just being in the wrong environment but I’ve been at 3 schools and 3/4 principals were black women. I’ve learned not to be so appealing and talented because if you are, the person that’s running the school can be insecure of that. I don’t want to leave but I’m tired of doing all of this work and asking for compensation like K. Samuel said because being able to teach and break up fights scares insecure folk.

These interviews make me sad. As a black man, I overly recognize what a great loss this is. The brother was very intelligent, articulate, charismatic, and very blunt with the truth. Its clear his show was never seen its entirety.If these women want to celebrate his death, they need to look at the brave man next to them or around them...bc that man very likely agrees with almost 100% of what KS put out there. RIP brother Kevin.

Exactly. People have a bias against him because they’ve only seen his recent videos and didn’t try to understand the purpose behind his channel. It was to equip men initially and later it became a show focused on re-aligning voluntary participants on what they should do to achieve the desired outcome in terms what a eligible mate would realistically get. The rest was entertainment.

I’m a 29 year old woman and I must say as my eyes open wider and wider on the topics at hand I know I’ll be married sooner than previously assumed because I now understand my errors. I also see my own mothers extremely toxic ways and her pain in which has resulted in her past and current life. I will no longer take her constant jabs and condescending tone with me personally. Well being proud in general is pretty dumb on its own, because people now are proud of how many followers they have, or how many goals they kick or baskets they score. Intelligence is one of the few things people should be proud of, musical talent, technical skill. People should be striving to be intelligent rather than having 3 billion people trying to be Instagram or sports celebrities. Intelligence is way down because everyone is thinking the superstars are only from the purely physical activities.
