As a realtor I believe that Ish is speaking from an investors POV. Discrimination still happens even with the Fair Housing Law if 1968. And also every state is different. He speaks in absolutes just bc he has experience as investor. Not every state uses an attorney for a real estate transaction. you have Deed and Lien states. Some homes are sold by owners so they can inadvertently discriminate.

Ish being with a white women makes sense. His takes on racism , prejudice or any topic similar (black actors/actresses) is always mind blowing and foolish. Coupled with his lighter complexion his perception seems so skewed . Or maybe hanging around his girl white family changed his mind lol. A black couple recently sued because their house was appraised 3x less when they were selling vs when they removed their family pics and had a white person sell their home. That happened in last 3 years and that’s not an isolated incident. The banks declining loans to AAs compared to White individuals who make less was just another recent “discovery”. The list goes on.
