Great creative idea, Joe. To try something differnt, to step out of your comfort zone. I am using gfx50s mainly for on location shoots, storytelling & portraits. But what a great look - that differs from the mainstream. Definitly trying this. Thank you!

great video, I can't wait to buy the gfx 100s and use the xpan crop on it. awesome setup with the 40mm pancake, I'll try it out! i really like that fuji let's you set different crops and it shows only the crop in the viewfinder, very useful for composition and just visualizing the photo

Joe, fantastic job, very clear explanation and beautiful images, can you tell me if you have compared it with GF in 23 or 30 mm, I will buy the GFX 50S II in Kit with the 35-70 but what I am looking for is to make the most of the 65:24 ratio to get as close to XPAN, I hope your opinion.

I've watched quite few clips about digital Xpan as equivalent to Xpan I always dreamed of. It's just way to expensive with no spare parts left soon in the world... But you're the one made me sure that GFX50s2 plus Canon Pancake is what Im looking for (GFX100 is just overkill). The pano crop and analog film presets its just pure love. And thats some great photos of yours!

The X-pan crop is only cropped in one dimension. You should be able to display in the horizontal dimension just as large as any medium format image.

Where did you find the film sims for this camera? I haven't found anyone talk about film sims for the GFX system. Too bad seems to be an untapped topic. This in advance for any info you can offer. Great videos :)

An amazing video! I've been watching videos for days trying to find out how the GFX series displays 65:24 in the viewfinder and screen. Thank you!
@ichsanrahmanto2 жыл бұрын
Amazing work Joe, just one question, is it native aspect ratio that maximized the sensor crop area, or just ordinary crop i.e. shot at 4:3 then cropped to 65 : 24 by camera software, is it any different field of view between both ? thank you

pretty cool to show the actual framing. how is the auto focus speed using the canon lens? - looks real nice and compact hope you get to try more adapted lens in the future if possible
@JoeDAgostinoPhoto3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Like most lenses the GFX will hint but eventually give you a positive lock. I’ve adapted many lenses and show examples in other videos as well as my blog.

Hi Joe. Thanks for this wonderful video. I am considering to buy GFX100S for 4:5 and Digital XPAN ratios. What is your classic kodachrome recipe on this video? It is wonderful. I am using your filmic classic negative recipe. It’s excellent, too. Thanks again.

Complete nonsense. It's just a crop mate and you can crop any image you want from any camera you want in post. Nothing like an XPAN...
