In my opinion one of the most underappreciated saxophone players today.

Joel is one of the most brilliant saxophonists around today for sure. I've known him for a very long time. In fact, I had known Joel for several years already when we were both in the 1996 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, which I thought, for sure, he would be a winner or runner-up. I've certainly never heard him sound better but then I'll hear him in 3 months (I hope) and he'll be at yet a new level. He's always great to listen to and I do think he's constantly improving. Thanks, Joel - you are an inspiration and I look forward to playing again together sometime.

Feel sorry for the bass player having to take a solo after that...
