The amount of animals killed to produce your veg is far more than simply eating live stock we raise ourselves. The meat is also far more nutrient dense and nearly 100% bioavailable because all our bodies have to do is absorb it whereas we have to convert plant matter into an absorbable form, creating waste, thus a reduced bioavailability for the nutrients they provide, which isn't nearly as impressive as beef or other forms of red meat.

Bravo Joel. Plant based meat substitute tends to be much denser than actual meat with little moisture inside. This much meat substitute must have been a real challenge especially considering the very short time. But what a fantastic plate of food. Just beautiful. Congrats to Joel on killing it way ahead of time. I am in the seventh day of a fast for health reasons, so this was like I was eating it with you, every bite. I think I gained five pounds just watching. But it was worth it.

I'm not a vegan but I have stopped eating dairy, as well as beef and pork, for health reasons. My struggle is always these plant based imitations, as I find many to taste kinda gross. Seeing this restaurant serve this kind of food up, and Joel giving it such a high recommendation, is truly inspiring to me in regards to trying more plant based substitutions in the future. Plant based about 45 years and never been huge fan of plantbased Mac n cheese . However I once recreated one like my mom use to make years ago with some tomatoes in it ….my brothers liked it with bacon back then … I’m excited to see you try plant food ….it’s pretty amazing and has many benefits as you know health wise and earth wise. I absolutely love when you do the vegan challenges! People can have similar flavors and textures without killing any of the animals we all love to look at, pet, and appreciate. Our fellow earthlings deserve for us to at least try to eat alternatives. Vegans usually can eat animal imitations because we do still have good memories of eating these foods with our families and friends growing up. Meat tastes good but we just love animals, and dislike the terrible cruelty the animals have to suffer being just a commodity for us to injest. Good work, Joel!
