He can literally nail any character he is given, from the Wolf of Wall Street, to Whats Eating Gilbert Grape and then films like Titanic and Revolutionary Road or Blood Diamond and Romeo and Juliet. I have enjoyed every single film I have watched, he is by far my favourite actor and by far the most talented actor I've ever seen, films like The Revenant and Django Unchained with such wide critical aclaim. Truly the greatest actor ever.
@IdaDunutin5 жыл бұрын
Leonardo Datore The funny thing is his career took off when River Phoenix died. Every role he plays would've considered River first had he still be alive. Ironically River was supposed to play this role, and signed on for it, but died of a heroin overdose before he could be filmed. His career like Leo's was just about to supernova explode. I give Leo credit for his gift and his craft, he is a legend in his own right who will be remember long after he's gone, longer then River was sadly. RIP

I now retract my statement after finding Marlon Brando. Leo’s still good but he’s no Brando. Also I watched Man in the Iron Mask, and it was terrible. So not every film with him as the lead was strictly speaking “great”.
@kass_G594 жыл бұрын
Couldn’t agree more!! Seriously hands down, the *BEST* actor alive. You know when an actor is amazing when their performance seems SO real, that it makes you cry &(feel every other emotion) Because it seems so raw &real! Like in this movie, you can hear the pain in his voice! Coming from a recovering heroin addict, he NAILED it. The parts where he was sick from withdrawals looked exactly how you feel! Like you just wanna jump right out of your skin. 😫 it’s absolute hell. To put it lightly. Never going back to that shit. If any addicts or recovering addicts are reading this, PLEASE please seek help (if you’re in active addiction.) I promise you there’s such a better life waiting for you! You don’t deserve to live a miserable, sick, mere existence.. Stay strong. I know it’s hard. You can do it. This too shall end. 1/2 years clean!! 🤍🥰

Suboxone helped for about a year, but its criminally expensive and the withdrawals are just as bad, if not worse than the heroin/fentanyl. Just hit 8 years clean, I still have dreams and small cravings. But you have to get rid of those friends/lifestyle/and mindset. I had hit rock bottom long before I quit. I just woke up one day and decided I was tired of living that way. After 12 years, I stopped and relapsed one time for about a week about a year and a half sober. It happens to the best, just gotta pick yourself up and try harder. Move on from the "good ole times. This scene. This is single handedly the most powerful scene I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen a lot of movies but this was insane

Still to this day, I don't think I've seen a film depict the gritty, harsh reality of heroin addiction so well. Being an addict who has gone through it myself, I still writhe when I see the withdrawal scene at Reggie's.

His mom saved his life! For anyone struggling just do it. Get through the detox and then remember how bad and hard it is to get off. Don’t go back! I’m at a year off opiates and I have no urge to ever do it again. I just deal with my back pain which is actually significantly less since quitting. I just have to remember to not relapse. So far beyond good. I’m seeing an ex that I’ve always been in love with but was too messed up to be with. Everything has been falling into place. I’ve never been happier

Why did he have to call pedro, "little man". That might be a endearing inside friend joke to him, but to pedro that was probably a big reason why the needle kept piercing his flesh...

When the camera turns to the audience and Reggie (Ernie Hudson) is standing there. Looking so proud of Jim.Clean and Alive and on that stage. It gets me every time. Awesome movie
