Resistors in Parallel - Total Resistance for Two Resistors of Different Values

This video introduces a method to calculate total circuit resistance when resistors in parallel have different values. This is often referred to as the "Product over Sum" method and it is only really practical where you have two resistors in parallel. This is a good way to develop your understanding of circuits at all levels of study involving electrical science.

This video is great (sparkyninja sent me). Could you do a video showing how to find the resistance of say, a third 'unknown' resistor and what the calculation might be? So you know the total resistance, you know the resistance of resistor 1 and 2 but the third is unknown?

Hi Joe, just studying for my 2365 and your videos are brilliant. I'm doing a mock exam where I had to find the value of a missing value resistor in a parallel circuit with only two and we know the total resistance, I made a right mess of what I thought was the correct calculation, would yoube able to show a video how to calculate please hope that makes sense.
