That's the power of having amazing guitar riffs back in that day. It's alot harder now since pretty much everything has been done but you can still bite the bullet and give your own take on a classic riff, you will always get the people with no music theory knowledge that try to accuse you of "stealing".. Dave is one of those immortal tales of a man who went through absolute hell many times over, and came out on the other side to be a pretty solid dude. Keep in mind, in his youth, this dude was too extreme for a young Metallica. That's proof that even if you walk to the beat of a completely different drum, and people don't see your suffering, you can still fight to be an extremely productive, and influencial person without having to bottle up all of the trauma. Dave always faced his issues head on. Get kicked out of the biggest band in history, oh well, I'll just form another band and start from scratch. As much as his firing from Metallica hurt Dave, in retrospect, it drove him to be something special. Metallica is a band, Megadeth was Dave Mustain. Gotta give Dave Ellefson a shout out too. He was the other side of that two headed coin.

Some souls take many lifetimes to wake up to their fullest potential. I think Dave Mustaine is a super genius of music. I remember working at the Agora and being in his presence then in the 90's a feeling good vibe was what he reverbed.. His band belongs in the Rock Hall. I remember working that particular show at the Agora and when the IDIOT security opened the doors this one kid came barreling down the aisle and jumped onto the main floor and us stagehands watched this kid break his leg, oh man, that memory still shakes me. When people are let in there should be orderly movement and from then on Hank LoConti Jr. for the years I worked for him was adamant about no one running them damn aisles just to get up next to the stage. That was 1997 I am fairly certain and Megadeth played a sell out show that was EPIC. Cleveland loves Megadeth.

59:40 i have heard Dave talk about this magic thing before, and it is always with such deep regret and remains very guarded about it. He fully believes in black magic because of something that happened, and i think he believes he is responsible for Cliff's death. Kirk took his job, and some of the footage of Metallica just after Dave was fired shows how ruthless the rest of the band were when talking about Dave. Living it up while he was in despair. And its no secret that Dave hated Kirk for replacing him. And if you remember, Kirk and Cliff drew straws for the better bunk. Cliff ended up where Kirk was meant to sleep, which was ultimately a death sentence. I don't believe in black magic myself, if it worked everyone would be at it! But Dave was quite into it apparently, and ive always wondered if he tried to put some kind of hex on Kirk. Then, when the story came out about Cliff's death, how it happened and how Kirk narrowly missed the same fate, Dave REALLY believed it was too much of a coincidence and blamed himself ever since. I hope not because that would be a terrible guilt to mistakenly carry.

Wow. What an amazing picture of humanity. The journey, where he is now, where he's yet to go... I can't help but be a fan of MegaDave! Saw them in Cincinnati in'99, maybe '00, its a core memory for me. Megadeth, Motley Crue, and Anthrax who bailed, still a top 5 concert for me.

Look at him now, 20 in Metallica, 60 in Megadeth and Megadeth now is producing better metal than Metallica by far. He still does it for the love of the music not the love of the money like Metallica now. DON'T get me wrong I still love Metallica, but Megadeth I listen to daily, Metallica I don't.

Joe after reading on and on that Coca Cola web page, "they use it to make people numb", Dave - "So does boring people" LOL! Totally went over Joes head. Dave actually threw in quite a few of those under the radar quips. Gotta love that guy. Never change Dave

I went to a Megadeth concert at the Agora Amphitheatre in Cleveland when I was 21 with my cousin and girlfriend. The Misfits opened up for them. It was the Cryptic Writings tour. I remember Dave Mustane saying hail to the devil and got booed by the audience.

That's odd, because Dave got saved about 5 years before that. We are about the same age and I've been a Megadeth fan for most of it. After the release of "Peace Sells.... But Who's Buying" he even stopped playing " The Conjuring" live.

seen Megadeth in Belfast waaaaaay back & Dave apologised to all present about his comments on the Troubles & sectarian violence in Northern Ireland. i have a great respect for artists who own their mistakes & apologise publicly. they then went on to play Anarchy in the UK & we lost it.. amazing gig. even tho i moved away from metal & became a techno dj/producer, i will always have a lil place for Mega. and my Dad HATED their music 😆😆 great chat

Approximately 100 metric tons of dried coca leaf are imported each year. The cocaine-free extract is sold to The Coca-Cola Company for use in soft drinks, while the cocaine is sold to Mallinckrodt, a pharmaceutical firm, for medicinal purposes.

Teaching yourself to play an instrument is not as difficult as some seem to think. I grew up with musician parents and music was just a normal everyday part of family life. As a teenager my mom gave me a book that had piano chords charted in it and gave me a brief explanation of how songs are nothing more than repeating patterns of chords and said if I can memorize the chords then I can play anything. So I did, then soon after my dad told me that it was the same with the guitar and if I can memorize the chords then I can play anything, Over 30 years later and if an instrument has strings I play it. I have over 160 videos here on my channel of me playing all those instruments, and I was totally self taught. And if I can do it, then anyone can do it...... and should.

I always loved Dave! A lot of people say he's a dick or this and that, I'll tell you what, that guy has exceptional talent, has never resorted to a political stance outside of his songs that he writes. I will always respect that! People have no idea how much talent and ingenuity it takes to play something so complex, like he usually does. he's very very good at keeping people's interest in the song. People strongly prefer simple music and simple words and if they can't get that they usually aren't very interested in it. it's too difficult for them to understand. His songs have a high degree of technique and intricacy in them and it's amazing and shows how good he is, that they made it to be one of the top tier metal bands in history. None of the other bands could do that. Megadeth is the only one. Sir Mustaine is both uniquely creative and very clever. Almost 50 years old and I still Play along with my darkest hour and set the world on fire at least once a week
