I'm someone who never cusses, literally never, but I freaking love that Strickland says whatever he wants and doesn't apologize for who he is, and Joe, I respect you even more for having people like this on your show. I can't stand people who are always apologizing for anything they say because they're worried they offended someone. People like that will never be great at anything.
@hardcorebarbell3 ай бұрын
So why do you bring up that you never curse but praise him for doing so?
@Paulscole33 ай бұрын
@@hardcorebarbell I'm not praising him for cursing. I'm praising that he's free to be who he is, saying what he wants, and not apologizing for it. My point is that even though you'll never hear me curse, I'm never going to tell someone they shouldn't watch what they say, especially when they're not trying to intentionally offend anyone. Now, if that was my kid, that would be different. Hopefully, you understand that.
@ls_smoke_skies74212 ай бұрын
I mean when you say freaking aren’t you really implying another word there homie?.
@Paulscole32 ай бұрын
@@ls_smoke_skies7421 I never said I didn't imply curse words, or think them, or want to use them, or that curse words are bad. However, I think you'd agree that saying a curse word and thinking about them are completely different, or at least they have different consequences? However, the words we use tend to define who we are because we tend to say what we think. If you don't control what you think, you'll not control what you say, and you'll be seen as someone who knows what they're talking about or a fool. One reason I don't cuss is because I do my best to control what I think and I've always thought cursing was mentally lazy, but that doesn't mean all cussing is bad or that there's not a time for them.

18:00 the biggest issue with Joe’s “answer”, is that the “hood” doesn’t want the hood fixed. No program is going to fix the feeling that they “are somebody” among their peers. Too many would rather live the “street life” until it takes them, than to actually learn a skill/trade, and work a boring job. You can’t compete with fast money, girls, drugs, guns, (misplaced) sense of power, and street respect. The life is too interesting, and addictive… bc even though it’s a shitty way to come up… it’s exciting. And, that’s the most addictive drug there is, on this planet.

Strickland is interesting because he knows what screws people up from growing up that way, and has worked hard to live better.

Wait until Joe dogs your team. No one is safe here, only truth. If you can't see both sides you'll get mad at some point. This is not a republican show. Also, at what point is it that you're not an American? I don't care whose president, if they do something good for the country. But kids like you, likely don't give a shit about that if it's a democratic idea. Meep running for a safe place, I guess. Or grow and become better.
