I'm a retired disabled Texas police officer. One of the dreams that haunts my sleep is of an accident I worked as a police officer. It wasnt a bloody accident scene,it wasn't a graphic accident scene. What I saw was the driver of this suburban that had been T-boned. Everyone except the driver were just fine. The driver had died when the seat belt broke his neck. What haunts me is the smile on his face. I was so sure that this man was trying to play a game on me today I've only took his pulse at his arm I did it on his carotid artery and I did it in a way that was quite rough and almost like I was choking him because I wasn't sure that this man was playing a game. But he was not playing a game he was most definitely dead. It was his smile like he had seen or experience the greatest moment of his life. His smile was like a child who had been lost from it's home and family then suddenly tops the hill and there's his entire family waiting for him. I see his face almost every night.

At 23, I was deathly ill for weeks, I recall my spirit standing up, outside my body. I turned back to look at my body still on my bed. In my spirit, I had no fear and was calm. I walked to the door of my apartment and stopped. "If you walk out of your door, you will never return" was the voice i heard inside my spirit. So, I decided to stay here, walked back to my body lying on the bed and lay back down in it. It's over 50 years later.

Due, unless you're a born again Christian, it's a very good thing you didn't walk out that door. Almost everyone ends up in hell, Jesus taught few would make it to heaven. If you want to go to heaven when you do die for real, then: 1) repent of your sins (confess and turn from them) 2) forgive EVERYONE that's ever sinned against you no matter what 3) believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins and rose again and ask Him to save you and give you His Holy Spirit 4) Follow Jesus and do the things that please Him (pray, read the Bible, love others, tell others about Him and His love for them and how they can be saved from their sins).

I had a near death experience when I gave birth to my daughter almost 7 years ago. During my C-section they got my daughter out but I started bleeding to death. There are hours I can’t account for. I woke up with my mom and husband over me crying as I had units of blood being delivered via an artery. My doctor told me how close to death I was. How she was scared and didn’t think they’d get me back. I almost had no blood pressure. That bothered me for a long time. Almost dying. I kept thinking what would have happened if I did die. What would my husband and daughters life be like. It scared the living shit out of me. But as time went on I became thankful for my life. Life is so beautiful and it’s hard to explain it unless you’ve been through it. Now, I am battling cancer. Another reminder how beautiful and precious life is. I want to write letters to my daughter because there’s a good chance I won’t be there to see her off to college. Life is beautiful. I am a believer in God. @@jfkino1 You need to read a bigger variety of books than the typical black and white god or no god stupid arguments. Religion is less popular these days but god being more about “your mind” and how it creates is taking over. You need to read about the double slit experiment, how your observation affects matter and reality based off that old experiment, read about the invisible “field” that governs all life that’s there but is invisible like air, how everything is energy at its tiniest observation under a microscope, and how your perception determines what you’re capable of seeing and what your incapable of seeing based off the perception you chose for your life. I recommend reading “Becoming Supernatural” by Dr. Joe Dispenza. The book is science and results on a whole another level and it makes life and god turn out to be way different than the typical Bible and atheists bullshit arguments… it doesn’t directly talk about god but it’s special meditations that tap into the field of consciousness makes life and the possibility of a god seem far more complex than we ever expected or imagined. Get out of the typical stupid arguments that have been beaten to death and get into the stuff that’s NOT mainstream because THAT’S where you’re gonna find the truth! The general public is scared of the truth so you ain’t gonna find concrete answers dealing with typical people but instead follow my advice if you care about a deeper truth that almost everyone is unaware of! From my personal experiences , many years ago I considered that this reality is actually like a movie or play. Pre-scripted and we just play various characters . No free will, its an illusion.. In short, that idea came from contemplating my experiences with seeing future events. And other things, which I block now. certain things that were part of my existence were irritating. I think this existence is an illusion in ways. Had this idea years ago before finding out there is the theory of the holographic universe . At this time I had a personal theory that the past , present and future all exist at the same time. And come to find out , some scientists have considered this. From a child I also liked the UFO/ ET subject.. many of the theories I had several decades ago seem to be making it into mainstream thought. Like this entire planet is an experiment by older more intelligent beings.. Which I think these beings have solved the transhumanism thing. They exist in manufactured bodies. As far as simplistic arguments against tradition mythologies/ religions. If people believe in things that obviously dont make sense. maybe even know some basic science but totally disregard it over mythology, you cant get to "out there" with certain theories like you suggest. many people cant even consider and dont even have common sense. Please, I would like to share my best friend's story with you. Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our 16-year-old son, Ethan, played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for Ethan for a church mountain hike he was going on the following day. My mother (who was visiting from out of state) and I woke early with Ethan on Saturday morning. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own that morning. As Ethan pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mother and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw Ethan. He did not make it home that evening. That afternoon, a friend tried to contact my husband, leaving an urgent message to call him back. He tried several times to return the call to no avail. As we were preparing supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan filled my heart. I quietly blinked back tears. I glanced out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pull up to the house, but no one arrived. However, within a few minutes, a patrol car DID pull into the driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst. My husband and I went out to meet the officer, who confirmed our fears. Hesitantly, he told us our son had fallen off of a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed; they still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, our family has such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son and brother again. You see, when Ethan was a young boy, he was saved; he put his faith in Jesus alone to forgive his sins and to take him to Heaven when he died. He realized some very important truths from the Bible that he would want to share with you. His Story Everyone is a sinner. Sin is any violation of God’s Law. God is holy, just and righteous, and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Ethan realized that he - like all of us - had sinned; and his sin separated Him from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that, because of his sin, he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a) [Wages: price] “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Ethan believed that Jesus, God’s Son, paid the price for all sin when He died on the cross - because His sinless sacrifice was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous, holy God. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, but He arose the third day, triumphant over sin, death, and Hell. Jesus is alive today! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan was sorry for his sin, repented (turned), and received by faith the free gift that God offered to him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. He is alive in Heaven with Jesus today; and because of this great HOPE in Christ, we know we will see him again soon - not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Your Story What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day - What if you were to die today? Where will you spend eternity - Heaven or the Lake of Fire? There will not be any parties in the Lake of Fire. It is a place of eternal torment for those who reject God's Son. The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) We did not know that Ethan would step into eternity that day; however, because he put his faith in Jesus alone for his salvation, Ethan was ready to go. Some day - perhaps today - you will take your last breath here on earth, and you will step into eternity. Where you spend eternity is determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. Eternity begins soon - Are you ready? “...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31b) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “(...behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2c) ****************************** Tribute to Ethan Lakey kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5nSk5aHj5uEmJo

God determines if you have faith or not. If its was meant to be it was meant to be and vice vera. Before you are born everything is preordained and only going to change if you earn that through good works on this planet. If you just coast thru it on autopilot letting your ego lead the way then you will have to eat exactly what was predestined to be put on your plate. This guy was obviously predestined to not have faith in God. He did not create/earn or receive enough good will for the most important part of his destiny to be rewritten. It's why faith is priceless. An absolute jewel.

By your logic, he was created by God with the forethought of “I will make him incapable of having faith and when he dies, I will condemn him for not having something he’s incapable of having to begin with.” This is monstrous. Not to mention completely unbiblical. The Bible talks of predestination in terms of assignment of life mission (what you’ll be meant to do with your life, the talents and gifting and how they are to be used for the glory of God.) Never ever is predestination regarding salvation. God does not desire that anyone should perish but that all would come to Him (2 Peter 3:9)

Though In a way it's honestly much less stressful to do that in life, let yourself be ignorant to avoid the stress of the things you can never truly understand? Shit dude I almost wish I could do that, but I can't seem to stop thinking of the various ways that what we call 'reality' may not be real at all. And frankly, you don't want to get into that rabbit hole.

Well, I certainly wasn’t hallucinating when my father who by then had been already dead for ten years “appeared” to me in my most distressful time in the middle of the night. I wasn’t sleeping, I was lying there waiting for my friend to return. I didn’t see him, I felt his presence on the right side of me and he was sending me words of consolation to my heart ( not audibly ) that I’ll never forget. No living person can “speak” such powerful words of consolation. Since then nobody can persuade me that life ends with our death, but apart from that experience I’ve had enough ‘visions’ to prove that fact!

It’s absolutely real, folks. I’m not religious at all, but I have severe epilepsy that manifested in my mid twenties. And I died. I had a massive seizure, and probably a stroke, and when I went into the seizure I just floated out of my body. I was above myself, watching everything that was going on below. I thought I was dead, and I floated away from the scene because my family was watching me die and I couldn’t bare it. I don’t have any absolute truth to offer, but it seems that there is a positive, loving, and beautiful place that people go and then there is a dark, awful, hate filled place that others go. Just spread love and kindness, positivity and work to make things better for everyone. It sounds corny, but I don’t ever want to know what is inside that pit that this guy saw.

@@Rude_Boi This has a logical scientific explanation. There are studies that suggest that even after the body's death, the brain keeps firing for minutes, doing everything in it's power to jolt the body back to life. It's even possible there is awareness of death in those moments, which would explain NDEs pretty easily. You know that fake falling sensation your body does when you are falling asleep? That happens because you fall asleep too fast and your heart rate decreases abruptly, which to the brain registers as you dying, the falling sensation is your brain jolting the body awake. So feeling like you are falling during the NDE is the most logical thing ever: the brain isn't done fighting yet and its trying to wake you up. To you it feels like it absolutely must be hell because you are already approaching this from a religious background. But this does in no way, shape or form confirm religion. If anything, it confirms recent neuroscience discoveries, though its only anecdotal evidence. Our recollection of experiences lived in altered states of mind isn't exactly accurate. If you believe in God than that's great! True faith actually helps cope with stress and anxiety because it makes you believe everything happens for a reason. However, going around trying to scare people is just unneeded. We are already in hell in case you haven't noticed. We are worse off than we have ever been.

My sisters husband, who I truly saw as my brother, Fernando Augusto Lujan Jr, unfortunately passed away due to a brain aneurysm on Dec 7, 2020... 39 years old, totally healthy guy very fit and very active, yet the hand of fate decided to rip him away from us. I miss him every single fucking day. He came home from work, said hi to his wife dog and me, then went to the bathroom, sometime during, a vein in his brain burst... we were too late. Terrible circumstances that nobody could’ve predicted. Say what you think Ask what you want Express how you feel You’ll never know if it’s your last chance

Extremely healthy and very fit guy here, and never had a single day in a hospital or a surgery in my life other than tonsilectomy as a small child--but 2 months ago I was hit with a serious infection and then 2 weeks later got covid on top of it--in the emergency room the Dr said you're a very sick guy and we'll do everything we can for you... Within a few minutes I was hit with an overwhelming peace and calm, and felt ok if I were to go.. I wasn't worried about dying at all in regards to myself, but I did have an deep concern about letting my Wife and family down--I was worried about their future and their grief, not myself. With the appropriate medicine I rallied and came back--the first thing I did was tell my Wife of the peace and calm I had experienced, and then I immediately made changes to an existing will to handle things quicker and easier for the benefit of my WIfe and Daughters--even though I have always been a loving Husband and Father, the experience gave me a new perspective about caring even more deeply for others. As for death I'm not worried about it--I just don't want to be there when it happens..

I have had a NDE experience. I now have a pacemaker. My heart stopped and my granddaughters were in the kiddie pool. When you heart stops it’s like suffocating. All I wanted was fresh air so I stepped outside to the back deck. My wife called the ambulance. I had two granddaughters one has just received her heart transplant the other a perfectly normal healthy child. I didn’t even believe in auras. The thing is that while I was dying they had fuzzy rainbows 🌈 around them. But here’s the thing even though they had the same exact color bathing suits ( new) standing in the same sunlight ( neither shadowed) . But they had distinct different colors. My heart patient granddaughters was more blue , green pastel, purple . My healthy granddaughters was bright pink, yellow, and red. Less pastel. The ambiance arrived, I was treated monitored overnight, and given a pacemaker. The thing is that I was agnostic at best, and atheist at worst like this man I was raised by atheist. My parents were well educated people. I had read every National Geographic, popular science, and readers digest we had subscriptions to all. Here’s the thing. As I was lying in the hospital bed under observation I couldn’t reconcile what I had seen. Particularly ,because had you said auras to me prior to that day I would have laughed at you as I didn’t believe in such nonsense. Yet there I was dying looking at some kind of life energy that blended together between them. Why were they different colors? If it was the chemicals in my brain they would have been identical auras. This was not explained by science. It in fact could have only been a supernatural explanation. I had been interested in the Bible merely as a curiosity, but if I decide I want to learn about something I seriously study it. I had studied ancient cultures , Mesopotamia, Babylon, Samaritan , Egypt enough to have a general understanding. I spent more time with my Bible study only ,because I was interested, and knew that Christians were avid believers that was a curiosity to me, and if I had a authentic conversation I wanted to know a little more about it than some of the other interesting cultural things. As others certainly would. My own mother was a multicultural education major who taught us lots of cultural things. This event was something unexpected. I started studying Christianity with a different perspective. The possibility of a after life became real to me with my NDE. Even though I didn’t lose consciousness as my heart started beating again luckily. I still needed a pacemaker however I was lucky. The funny thing is I have never gone to church. I before, and now listen to good Bible study preaching on utube, and learn the Bible through the many guides on utube. But I wasn’t on the fence about God anymore. The more I learned the more things started to fit with a lifetime of study of science, and ancient historically things. There is a saying in the Book of Thomas gnostic Text from the Nag Hamadi library. It’s something like this “ seek , and continue to seek until something is given “. I now know exactly what is given. The eyes to see, and ears to hear in a undeniable supernatural Holy Spirit experience. A ancient process of awakening to the spiritual realm. Some people in some religion call it activating the third eye. Whatever it is it’s very real, and exactly as described in scripture. The mirror of the bridal chamber. The Agitation, Marvel, and Repose I was born from. This is the experience 👇👇👇👇 facebook.com/100044617180546/posts/391662768997626/

I witnessed two people pass away peacefully but my friend whose wife is hospice nurse, told me a story I've never forgotten. She said the patient was an elderly man and that when he began to "pass" he suddenly looked terrified and started screaming that his feet were on fire. I remember getting chills and replied half jokingly that either he was descending feet first into hell or his feet were really hot. I couldn't get over the thought of this person starting to pass on to the other side and a pit of fire opening up to envelope him. As soon I heard Sebastian mention a dark pit I instantly remembered this story. To be honest I was a bit shocked that after his NDE his views hadn't changed on God or the afterlife. Having a NDE experience is so profound and something that seems so clear in your mind for the rest of your life. I had an NDE as a small child when I almost drowned in a river. I remember struggling over and over again to get air and the exact moment when I eventually gave up and sunk under the water. I don't remember any pain but I do remember seeing the sun or a bright light shine through the murky water and even though I was very young I somehow knew I was dying. I suddenly felt like I did a forward summersault out of my body and I started moving upwards. I was over the river and saw the adults and commotion; then the next thing I knew I was back on land crying and in extreme pain. My mom said she never told me about the experience because I was so young and she hoped I would forget - instead I startled her years later by telling her I remembered the day I died.

I'm not going to go down a rabbit hole with you about faith, you've got access to everything at your fingertips like everyone else, plus I'm pretty sure you're trolling so I'm not going to invest more time in this than I already have - no need for a dick measuring contest on who knows what, it's been done a million times. I know what I know regarding faith in God, I'll stick with my original comment and won't continue playing around with semantics and arguments about faith on the internet, it's pointless because most atheists have no interest in becoming believers and an online argument rarely convinces them of anything. And if you're honest you don't want to discuss this here anyway. Read a book by C.S. Lewis if you actually want to know about Christianity, more precisely "Mere Christianity." Lewis was WAY more intelligent and persuasive than I'll EVER be regarding the subject.

As a child getting picked up by my mother coming home from school. I fell asleep in the car ride n had a weird dream. I could see a light but had no eyes. I could feel this light very warm. I noted how warm it felt even tho had no body. Was very strange unlike nothing else n I was self aware looking at myself I was nothing just a floating entity n I heard a woman’s voice near the light call out n gently say “it will be ok” over n over a few times before I woke up. We were stopped in traffic ambulances to the side of the road n sad n unfortunately an Amish woman was struck by a car n didn’t make it. I always thought the dream was unlike other dreams n feel like I witnessed maybe an angel take the woman’s soul up? Never forget that

Then my perspective changed and I was looking down at my body. It was simultaneously the weirdest sensation and the most natural. I was aware of existing,my consciousness, humor, intellect, personality, existing OUTSIDE my body. @@greyisokok3938 a black pit to anyone running from danger is salvation. Also everything that is, everything that always have been, is indeed a part of our creator and was created by our creator. The question comes by asking ; are we afraid by thinking our creator separates good from bad and that our creator isn’t associated with evil or are we afraid because we’ve lived through it to know for sure ? There’s beauty in all things, violence births love, and love births violence. Death births new life, and life births death. We see it in plants, fungi, bacteria, human species relationships and so on. If you don’t believe in god, you can look around you. My opinion is that we should at least be gentle with anyone who is confused and still tries to find a stand they can place their faith into. Because no matter what you believe, in the end life will continue beyond the mind can imagine. If you exist on this reality, you are a part of the whole, our god and creator. Anything that exits is allowed to exist. If you love god out of fear then you’re missing out to what I believe the beauty of life. Maybe if we loved god out of respect then we can truly understand how much god cares for us beyond what our society has raised us to believe ; that good and bad are separate, and we should stay away from the other. You don’t have to believe that the earth is a sphere, or that the sun provides us with light, or trees start from seeds. Because either way it’s always a fact regardless of your beliefs. We should be more gentle with each other, regardless of our beliefs and we should learn to listen at what other people are feeling or how they see the world than forcing them to believe what we believe. Because If it works for them and they’re doing okay then it does work for them. That’s my opinion

As someone who flirted w/ atheism for a while, it *can* be difficult to let go of that, even if you're faced w/ an extraordinary experience like Sebastian had. It's easy to get swallowed up in the idea that, as someone who believes in the power of reasoning and logic, atheism is your natural home. Mainstream religion is often hypocritical, self-serving & even harmful to the people it claims to support, so who in their right mind would ever want to go back to that? To be sure, we *do* need a paradigm shift in how people think of and discuss what we think of as 'God'. For example my particular journey's led me to a place where I've long abandoned the Sunday School-esque notion of God as a grandfatherly figure w/ a magnificent beard and I now think of it as the underlying consciousness from which all of reality emanates. So I haven't abandoned my attachment to reasoning and logic in the slightest. It's specifically because of that that I now believe what we think of as consciousness cannot possibly reside in the human brain. It simply makes no sense whatsoever. So in much the same way as Max Planck and so many of our greatest minds concluded, the idea of a Universal Mind (i.e. 'God') is next to impossible to avoid as the source of all Creation. I do wish Sebastian luck on his journey and, if fortune and curiosity permits, that he can eventually arrive at the answer he needs.

I just lost control and my brain took over and I drove off at a high speed. The girl got scared and tried to open the door so I kicked her out or something I don’t really remember.
