Ah, but leg locks ARE a part of the 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu system. The difference is that John Danaher is a 4th-Degree Black-Belt under Renzo Gracie, specilizes in training highly advanced students, and has developed his own system. Joe holds two bjj black-belts. One in traditional Gracie in-Gi BJJ under Jean Jacques Machado, and one in non-traditional 10th Planet no-gi BJJ under Eddie Bravo. Joe knows he can learn a tremendous lot from the man across the table, and if you noticed , John ribbed him a bit for being "one of those 10th Planet Black-belts".

And still the hate... JD isn't being "pretentious" by pausing before explaining something both he and Joe are watching. He's doing something that was more common back in the day: *Thinking before you speak.* Again, he's an educated man and taking time to think about what you want to say is a good thing. I know in the age of Insta-tweets and everyone spewing the first dumb thing that comes in to their head on to the internet that might seem like a foreign concept, but trust me, thinking before you actually speak is a good thing. More people should try it.

I hate it when a person turns a conversation into a quiz just to show how much they know about something. Cant stand how Danaher asks questions and presses hard for his own subjective correct answer just to make a point. I understand it gets you thinking on their level but that shit is annoying as fuck.
@mrpk6465 жыл бұрын
@@skyblue9991 Think about it, he's educating both joe and all the viewers so its two birds with one stone. Aaaand he's got a philosophy background so he's probably wired to ask questions that he's got the answer to anyways. Idk, I get that its annoying for some. But as someone who hasnt trained bjj I dont mind it as its easy to listen and learn from.
