I enjoy Joe Rogan very much, and enjoy Mamut’s conversations, books and films a little more. Together = fantastic

Mamet's thinking shows me that I''m not nuts. He makes sense to me. Must be my generation.

I played Charlie Fox in "Speed the Plow" when I was in school... my dad walked out. The actress playing the secretary came on to me at the after-party opening night. She fell for the horrible character, not me. Weirded me out. Haven't acted since. But during Act 1 & Act 3... I *was* Charlie Fox.

Joe’s understanding of biblical and historical contexts seems lacking. If he were debating a knowledgeable biblical scholar, his rebuttal questions would likely fall apart. For example, he mentioned people rising from the dead and walking on water as being “mostly Old Testament,” but everything he referenced is actually from the New Testament. Historically, during the Greek control of Judea, some Jews learned Greek while some Greeks adopted aspects of Jewish culture. Later, during the Maccabean revolt, the Jews invited the Romans to protect them, but this backfired when the Romans betrayed them explaining the presence of Latin influence as well. I love you, Joe, but at times, you can be willfully ignorant of basic historical facts.

Joe Rogan thinks that he's intellectually curious, therefore; he's intelligent.

to me at least, this is a theatre representing/revealing/staging the thinking of people who believe things, look at the world through the lens of those beliefs, full of analogy and metaphor. same with douglas murray. a constant reference to other things, in other times, according to other laws. absence of logic. what are you talking about? highest taxes in the US were between 1944 and 1963, up to 90%, not now. this guy is a mouth. now he’s off on teachers. man alive …

Never overestimate people. I've seen this guy in -- now obviously -- controlled environments. He's brilliant. But when Joe takes away that monopoly of speech, he falls terribly short.

Jesus, I love Joe but he's unbelievably obtuse throughout this conversation. The prosperity question was answered by the original tree analogy Mamet made, but his weed-addled mind can't connect the giant dots, lol. And defending critical race theory is absurd. Oy.

He cant imagine that oppressed people have nuanced sufferring. That the small change complaints can become enlarged when they protest , how disproportionate that a title , he , she becomes. Its not his, his is different . This guy has rounded off and averaged everyone like thier in some contract of his own. What a lack of connective tissue ..
