Your mum is a star. We need more of her in the videos! In particular I want to see her Sunday Roast because I am sure it is amazing.

Those are some nice tractors. I am mainly interrested in the price of farm land over there. Not because I want to move but here in belguim its rediculus. Averahe €50.000 a hectare is a good deal. I have seen pieces going for €100.000/hectare. And fields are small. We have more fields then hectares as a medium sized farm.

1 litre of milk in Warsaw is around 79 pence and the farmer gets 60 pence per litre? I’d say the supermarkets don’t dictate prices in Poland? Great video, thanks.

its not 60p in whole of Poland. Guys were visiting podlasie region, which is the most dairy part of Poland with lots of dairy processing plants crammed in quite small area. 60p/l is paid by maybe one company now, they are always way above avarage price. Now the avarage price per liter is about 2.0-2.2pln which is around 40-45p. As for the amout of equipment, in my oppinion lots of farms have way too much of gear, but bear in mind, that due to fragmentation of fields we rarely have a farm with its land around a farmyard. Polish fields are tipically long and narrow strips, a farm with 100ha can easily have 30-40 different fields scattered up to 5-10km from farmyard. Hence, there is a need for bigger equipment, to be able to get the work done timely. Last couple of years we see a huge surge in farming contracting, which can help farmers to reduce risks in buying all that expensive stuff.

Well done mum, just goes to prove British farmers are shafted by the supermarkets public paying top money for meat and dairy products farmers getting the lowest prices but bearing 90% of the cost the public need to wake up to this it will only get worse as more farmers go out of business and we import more lower quality more expensive goods. Sorry rant over. Brilliant video as usual Joe

I hear what you say but what is the extent of finance and what is the land commitment? If they are complaining what is the complaint? Everything is relative and it will be interesting to find out what the relativity is! You must also remember they have a different political system in the past and their country was a battlefield 75 years ago!

Dairy farming, and farming in general in Poland is heavily subsidised it’s not really fair to compare Brit farms to polish farms. Take the subs away they’d be milking a few cows with a bucket and stool.
