I don't know. I feel like Joe could post 200 of theses videos and people will still show up to the dyno with the fuel pump not wired up, 100 vacuum leaks and 1 head that forget to get torqued down.

What is the roll cage in that car tied into? Just the floor or the frame? It seems like the chassis is twisting a lot opening the doors, I had that problem on my Monte Carlo with a Pontiac 400, it ripped the passenger side striker out of the door frame

After watching your videos plus a bunch of reading specs and downloading the Holley software I've ordered a Terminator X Max. I love your video's. Could you do one showing what the typical offset values for fuel/ignition V's water/air temperature are. I would expect these would not change much between tunes ?

From what I saw when you were under the car the C channels on the frame were not boxed = doors popping open. First thing I did with my 86 Grand Prix was to remove the frame, upgrade the crappy factory welds and box the C channel. I used the help build circle track cars so with that knowledge my G body is set up to handle. I only have a little over 400 hp with a 5 speed stick pushed by 355 SBC roller but it's just my toy for the summer. I have the Sniper and if I was close to you I'd book some hours so you could tweak it. Your videos really help me understand the system so I really appreciate the time you take to put these videos together.

Sounds reasonable to me. I'm having issues with the doors on my unboxed S-15. Surprising how weak they really are.
@jerrycann63742 жыл бұрын
@@rizzoid way back when we raced G bodies in circle track. With the body and suspension off you can take a rear rail and lift that rail about 8" before the other rail moves. The other thing is voids in the factory welding.

I never understand why you spend all that money to put a cheap air intake on and suck warm air from the engine bay. I like that you take the time to try making everything work right even if the customer is not totally prepared...I mean u could just give up and tell them things aren't ready for the dyno and move on but you take ur time and really work on it....I like that

Question on tps on sniper, is it normal that at wot the tps only goes to 89%, it’s wide open at tbi still reads 89%?
@yarrdayarrdayarrda2 жыл бұрын
Have you opened it manually at the throttle body? It's likely you aren't getting enough travel through your throttle. Did you purchase the throttle extension for the sniper? I find the pedal effort really high and sensitive until I stumbled across it. Holly PN 20-16.
@rodneygodin77732 жыл бұрын
I have I grabbed it and goes to 89%, I researched it & says it good on snipers, it doesn’t go 100%, but I got a stumble down low, and now I’m guessing I was adjusting exceleration enrichment in wrong tps %

@@rodneygodin7773 Could be. Set up a custom gauge on your controller with a tach, TPS, Air/fuel and go for a drive (or better yet start a data log) and monitor what conditions happen when it stumbles. Just keep in mind there will be a small delay from the issue to when the O2 shows it. Good luck!!

Well.. I mean.. no boost reference on the reg will work.. it just ain’t right. End up with kind of a screwy fuel table and you run out of injector a lot faster.

@@JoeSimpsonAtTempest I was just stating that it can work lol. Idk why anyone would ever not hook it up but it can work with enough injector.
