Works great! My chromebook has now been reset. For anyone wondering, it's the Acer Chromebook c730. I just wanted to test my chromebook which was given to me by my brother as he no longer needs it for school. Now, I can just leave it until I start high school :)

this happened to my dad. he never needed to put in the password till today (computer is a month old). he forgot the password...and so did I (I set it up for him), tried every trick as to what I could be. Wow, even though I'm glad I can easily fix someone's Chromebook, that is way too simple. You could easily open a random person's Chromebook and wipe all of their stuff. Seems like a huge security problem.

Go to password,then push control hold down ,then push Alta holding down as you go ,then push shift, and last letter r. It worked right away for me.
